RockStar did it with LA Noire on PS3 and 360 so there is no excuse why it couldn't be done on the next gen consoles.

There are very few games on the ps3 that run 1080p 30fps. The only games off the top of my head Rayman and Trine and those games arent demanding. The developers of Trine say that the got Trine 2 to run 4K 30fps on the PS4. Watchdogs was downgraded on all platforms even PC. Infamous was not downgraded the devs say so and there are articles that prove it. All that happen was they changed the time of day. It makes perfect sense. People who never owned a ps3 get to play it on ps4. Plus the same tech is going into Ucharted 4 so it would be a perfect way to test it out. God of war 2 did come out on ps3 as God of war collection. So did Jak and Daxter and Sly Cooper. I already have Last of Us on ps3 and have no intention to buy it again even for upgraded visuals. Someone who never play now have a perfect opportunity.

That's not entirely true you can get parts for consoles and repair them yourself. Power supplies, disc drives, hdmi ports, wifi antennas, fan even buttons and analog sticks for your controller. pretty much anything except cpu, gpu, ram and motherboard. Google search will help. I don't know about the XB1 but I know for a fact it is behind the ps3 in terms of features.
The Ps3 can:
1) Save music, video and pictures on the HDD
2) Backup Vita games and save files and other content.
3) Media server
4)Make playlist for music and pictures.
5) Edit and upload videos to youtube and facebook. PS4 only facebook.
6) Connect to the vita both through remote play and content manager. Ps4 only PS4 link.

Even is the ps4 could do 1440p 120fps most people don't have 4k T.V.s so it would be a waste. This isn't some wannabe dev hyping a game. This is Naughty Dog when they say the going to do something they do it.
You're using the worse case scenario for the console and what price range PC are you comparing them to? Your price on console games for a year is assuming that you buy every game at launch and every game was $60. Wait a month or 2 and the price drops like $10-$20 plus there are retail console games that launch at $40 - $50. Not every console require or console game requires an online fee. Realistically people spend less money on console gaming than what you make it out to be.
PC elitist diss the console, the games and the people who play on them. They can diss the games and console all they want. Those thing s have no feelings but calling people peasant just because what they chose to play video games on is idiotic.
