Well I think graphics make that big leap -in terms of 3D mesh, texture resolution, lighting effects, AI etc.- in each generation of consoles as it raises the baseline for visuals.
PC systems tend to turn the additional graphic settings of these games to its upper limit but never jump beyond (with the exception of PC exclusives).
With this context, I think the PS4 Pro and Xbox Scorpio will simply be the "high end" PCs of the console lines. Givin...
I'm loving the Pro but this article does speak some truth, there is an issue with HDCP compliance between the console and TV, and although there are workarounds like switching to HDCP 1.4, it prevents you from using other apps (e.g. Netflix).
It's only just come out, so just like the original PS4, it will encounter minor issues, however the marriage of 4K (which hasn't widely been tested yet) and the gaming community was bound to make more issues become promine...
Man I've just been playing both those games over the weekend, and I've got to say having a Hisense 65M7000 which supports HDR 4K is absolutely mind blowing. Sure they might be checkerboard rendering from 1800p to 2160p, but the difference is negligible compared with 1080p against 2160p sitting at a normal distance (roughly 3 metres). It's such a significant jump, I feel like I'm gaming on a high end PC.
Sure by the book it's not native rendering, but it&...
That's insane, I remember how many complaints there were about the game having 40-50 second load screens when it first released. The Pro took 6 seconds here with the SSD. I hope my Firecuda can get near that performance. Damnnnn.
I find your lack of knowing Seinfeld references disturbing.
For context though, there's an episode where George goes to get a massage and it's by a man which -as the strong heterosexual male that he is- objects to, he gets it done anyway. Afterwards at Jerry's apartment he uncomfortably reveals that he thinks "it moved". (Penis joke)
So keeeeeeen.
I've been playing Asylum and it seems to run quite well, the lifelessness of the world though is far more prominent now since being blessed with the living worlds of the new generation. It seems to me though that they rushed the PS4 version out before the deadline that would require all PS4 games to have a PS4 Pro mode. Stingy bastards.
You can't really call it a disappointment for its price considering we haven't seen the damn thing yet. If it's somewhere close to the PS4 in terms of power and can be picked up and taken on the go, includes the next generation of DS games as well as Nintendo's console titles which both carry an incredible jump in visuals and you then throw in some new hardware gimmicks then to me they've got an ace in the hole.
Why does Square Enix take so long to release games? It's so painfulllll.
Probably better as a TV show.
Hope they match Dragon Age 3's length but obviously more hand crafted with less fetching. God I'm dying for a new sci-fi RPG.
Could be huge! Imagine Pokemon with Pixar like graphics, ooooooooh yeah.
“Our teams are currently working very hard on GWENT: The Witcher Card Game and Cyberpunk 2077. We want to be entirely focused on the development of these projects.”
I was referring to their team working on Gwent, their statement gave that much information. I also don't understand why anyone disagreed with my original comment. Does no one want a better graphical update for PS4 Pro? My performance guess seemed pretty fair given the power of the PS4 Pro.
A stable 1440p30fps with more bells and whistles would have been noice. Hopefully their plans change after Gwent and before that team moves onto Cyberpunk 2077.
Really want to see how this is going to be marketed, very excited. Love the idea of DS and console titles merging into one hybrid platform. Actually sounds like a huge generational step for their handheld visuals and gameplay, and a way to save their home console as well. Going to be very interesting!
This game seems like it would fair far better with Neo and Scorpio, which as it seems will be coming out around the release date of Neo. I wonder if it'll only hit 1080p30fps with 4.14 TF, or if it'll hit 60fps. The game looks extremely demanding on current gen. Kingsglaive has got me all hyped up for this.
Wish that X was a V, damn.
I couldn't possibly list the amount of features that weren't included, but I did go through a reddit article that collectively archived everything that was stated/shown to be in the game and wasn't. I'm not complaining in particular, but just curious if there was a public response. I've quite enjoyed the game myself and have to some extent looked at it a little bit how Minecraft was released, with features being brought in incrementally over a period of time rather than al...
What has Sean Murray and Hello Games had to say for themselves in regards to all the features marketed in the trailers but not present in the game?
Hnnng could always do with a new Batman.
