1.1 360 also had bad company i believe release in japan for them, it did alright for them considering their install base in japan. These #'s are very similar to Famitsu numbers.
Isn't that better, so you can see when they are wrong, rather than them patching up their work?
I bet something is announced in Europe with regards of high value/bundle involving the Dual Shock3, to combat 360 price drop that they had recently in Europe.

MGS 4 is a great game, better than Halo 3, but it doesn't have the commercial appeal as Halo 3, and Sony did a piss poor job of marketting MGS 4. I've yet to see a MGS 4-PS3 commercial in my terrority. I've seen ads with MGS 4 features in a PS3 commercial, along with little big planet, etc. But not on it's own. Imagine it getting a AD support like Halo "Finish the fight&quo...
I dunno what people expected, but did anyone really think MGS 4 was going to sell more than Halo? The only game that'll do that is likely GTA IV, and that's due to being on both systems, or something like Wii Sports/Wii play.
The bundle represents value, why would you get a 40 gig model with the old Six-axis controller, when you can get a console that is 100 dollars more, has 40 gigs more space, the new dualshock 3 (50 dollars), and one of the best games on PS3 if not thee best game on PS3, plus Backwards compability, and such.
If you were gonna buy a PS3, what would you choose? IF the 80 gig is sold out, obviously people will wait till it's re-stocked, it's got little to do with what people will do...
MGS shipped 3 million, that's alot different than "Sold". Sold to retailers, not sold to consumers.
I dunno it dropped 25K or so in a week, and it's outselling 360 in europe, yet costs twice as much. 360 costs $199, PS3 $399.
So even if 360 drops to 100 bucks even, it's likely not outsell PS3 in europe, and any such drastic price drop would followed by Sony. And Microsoft has already a few months ago did a price drop in Europe.
It's not that huge of a drop off, Last week if the #'s were accurate, it sold about 111 K, this week about 84 K, so that's a 27 K drop, in which a region they don't have an Official 80 gig bundle.

Honestly, if MS didn't have FFXIII announcement, everyone would have thought it was boring, only because nothing new was really brought to the table, other than LIPS (Singstar rip off), Avatar (Mii's ripoff), and dashboard update (Which look like a combonation of PS3 XMB and Mii).
