"How funny...of course sometimes you just pick up a game and you have a feeling about it so you buy it...but let's be real here...games cost a lot of money and there is nothing wrong with looking at reviews, sales, gamer comments, etc...to get an idea of whether you think the game will appeal to you. I just found your comment funny....like as if it is a bad thing to consider sales or reviews...as if we should just randomly pick up games in the store and hope we get a "feeling"....

^ THIS times 75 billion. I absolutely loved CoD4, so I still love a shooter every now and then but MW2 was a let down compared to the original, the game's a total noob fest now.
That's why I've actually gone back to playing games like LBP/VC and DS, much funner then running around shooting people for hours >_> Games like Heavy Rain, ModNation Racers and Alan Wake will be much welcomed games to my collection.
Don't just buy shooters guys, support other game...

lucky for PS3 owners all games are region free, I just import games that don't get released here (Demon's Souls, GoW Collection).
And buying games off ebay is freaking cheap for us Aussies! Games here usually retail for about $100 - $120 brand new. I got the delux edition of DS for $80 and GoW/Borderlands brand new for $60.
Looks badass so far, I hope it's gets released late 2010, even though that'll mean 3 FFs were released in the same year lol.

If GT5P prologue doesn't belong on that list then neither does ODST, seeing as it's an expansion pack.
And I'll explain to you why I'm not counting Uncharted and MGS4 as simple TPS...they're both story driven games. 95% of the people who bought these games bought them for the story/offline campaign. MGS is a stealth game, everyone knows this and Uncharted is like playing through a blockbuster movie (1st Uncharted didn't even have multiplayer).
