Halo 1: 6.5 million
Halo 2: 8.5 million
Halo 3: 10.5 million
GT1: 10 million
GT2: 10 million
GT3: 15 million
Now from these numbers it looks like GT series sells more. So what exactly am I supposed to "be aware of but don't want to believe it"?

Do yourself a favour and look up the install base of the PS1 when GT was released in 1997.
And you do know that GT3 was released during the PS2s 2nd year, with an install base in the 20 something million, that game then went on to sell 15 million + copies.
So your "GT only sells well cause the install base is 100 million +" is all BS.

I'm a PS360 owners but if I only owned a PS3, I could still admit there's definately some 360 games I'd be jealous of (Mass Effect, Lost Odyssey). Hell, even TheTruth2009 (after convincing everyone the game will flop) admits he wants some PS3 gam...
What poor game sales? Can you please name the hundreds of 360 exclusives that outsold MGS4? I bet you only come up with two franchises.
This is what I love about Sony though, while they still release a few sequels every year, 80% of the games are new IPs. If you look at MS's AAA exclusives next year, the only new IP is Alan Wake, all the rest are sequels.
IMO, this is why MS games aren't as varied as Sony's. I've yet to see an exclusive game on the 360 like:

Heavy Rain
Valkyria Chronicles
ModNation Racers
MAG
GoW
ect

I remember NPD for Nov 2008, LBP sold 200,000 copies for the month and was immediately labelled a flop. Now the game's nearly sold 3 million copies though =)
Did I say anything about it reaching CoD numbers? No, I said it'll make that list, when FFXIII is released in the rest of the world it'll easily outsell Resistance, GT5P and probably WaW.

Every GT game has sold 10 million +, I'm not saying GT5 will, but it does have a big chance. GT4P sold around 2 million and the full game went onto sell 10 mil. GT5P ...

GT3 released during the PS2's second year with an install base of 25 million. The game then went on to sell 15 million copies. There, GT still sells fine without 100+ million PS owners.
