The article makes a good point, Heavy Rain was a fantastic game but it wasn't really fun in that sense because it wasn't supposed to be.

Apple will not release a console any time soon, not unless Microsoft or Sony throw in the towel. There isn't enough room for another console.

The games are the reason why people buy consoles, not the specs. Apple just don't have the gaming brand recognition and experience like the others have.

That wouldn't be a difficult thing to do, Apple seem to be hell bent on releasing a new iPad every year while consoles are around for 5-6 years at a time.

I still remember the whole Uncharted 2 review bomb, scoring the game 9.3 and stating how they couldn't score it higher because it lacked originality and then scoring MW2 higher.

Nobody in their right mind would pick an Ipad or Iphone as their preferred platform for playing games. Sony and Nintendo know this, which is why they're not too bothered.
