Dont buy a wheel unless you're hardcore into racing sims. Ive played every GT game, lost interest in all of them within 2 weeks. In the end its just some cars on a road, it's really not very thrilling.
You could end up getting this game and getting bored of it quickly, then you're left with a $200+ wheel and nothing to do with it. Play the game for a bit before you make that kind of investment.
11/2 was official and was on the playstation blog, and look how that turned out. Point is dont believe anything until the game actually comes out.

You're forgetting to consider something VERY important, the PS2 is in 120 million homes, 3x as many as the PS3. You think 1 out of every 4 PS3 owners will buy a driving simulator? Yeah good luck with that one.
This game will not sell 10 million total, this gen is very different than the PS1/2 gen's.
Gonna be tough. Didnt Halo 3 sell over 10 million copies? The PS3 is only in some 40 million homes, the PS2 is in 120 million, and Gt3 sold around 12 million I think. So do the math, I think this game is looking at maybe 8 million.

Yeah Im with you on this one. It's just a racing sim, somehow Turn 10 made 2 of these during this time, both of which have stellar reviews across the board, one of which is rated higher than every GT game aside from GT3, check metacritic.

In France? Sure it will last, 500k is a huge number for a videogame. Consider that MOST games cant sell that many worldwide. 500k is plenty for France, who has a relatively small amount of gamers. It's not a big gaming market.
I read today that PD expects the game to sell about 12 million total worldwide, which would officially make it the best selling PS3 game by a long mile. The next one down is MGS4 at just 5 million.
The PS3 needs a diamond selling exclusive title, over 10 million in sales. The 360 aready has 2 I believe.
