Im not very excited about the next quarter or 2 since a new PS or XBOX wont be out by then, and I cant muster up any interest in another Wii, but in a year from now Ill start getting excited. Little early right now though. My guess is new xbox is holiday 2013. so next summer ill start caring.
GT5 is horrible. I never cared about Forza but Forza 3 is significantly better in almost every way.

Call it nitpicking if you want, whatever makes you feel better about this game, but I havent played a racing sim in over a decade that didnt let you change the wheels.
They act like this 1031 number is amazing, then you realize that 80% of them are empty shells with wheels, wheels you cant even change no less! Unacceptable after how long we've been waiting for this. Kaz is a fraud and washed up.

Well executed, but the concept of photo travel is so lame. Yay taking pictures of some videogame cars, thrilling stuff right there.
How about spending less time on useless features like this and more time adding more premium cars, maybe a livery editor would be nice. Nope, instead we get photo mode. Awesome.
What is with those graphics on those custom courses? There's a few trees here and there, maybe a sign or 2, and that's it. So lame.

Every racing game is just cars on a track. Its impossible for this game to live up to the hype, as we've seen from many negative articles about the game, thousands ripping it to pieces on gtplanet, and it will REALLY be seen after the game comes out.
Dont act like every hyped up game has this many haters. I didnt see people hating on Unchart...
Almost doesnt even matter how good it is, there's no way for any game to live up to 6 years of hype, so after release many people are going to rip it to shreds for what it cant do, and spend less time talking about what it can do. Expectations have reached an unachievable level for any racing sim.
Fact is it's just cars on a track, there's nothing this game can do to make people think its some sort of revolution in gaming, not happening unfortunately.

They're posting facts though. Head over to gtplanet, about 75% of that site is unhappy with this car list. Forget the 1031 number, look at the cars very closely. It actually is extremely limited.

When you first see the number, 1031, it looks very impressive, then you look at the list. There's a crap load of repeats, just a different year or version. There's like 20 different honda S2000's. There's far more skylines. About 60 cars in this game are s2000's and skylines! WTF!!! Many iconic and popular cars arent in it at all, and this is all being discussed on gtplanet.

Doesnt matter. If you spend 6 years working on a game with multiple delays, announcing dates to announce new release dates, hyping it up for year, you better hope it does most everything, and this game doesnt. For everything it does do, there's something glaring that it doesnt do, that even its competitors have been doing for years now.

- no livery editor
- no auction house
- only 220 of the cars in the game are finished with cockpits, real damage, customizable appearance, etc..
- weather is not on all tracks
- day/night cycle only works on some tracks

According to what you just said, this game must not be considered a huge release. I stated a fact, MOST games come out on Wednesdays, and not all big games come out on Tuesdays. It's been like this for literally decades.
Thats when MOST games come out. It's been a while since I last got a game on a Tuesday. It's usually wednesday. Ship Monday or Tues, in stores on Wed.

I agree what others have said. A 4th NSMB game cannot stand up to something like SM64. No way. I was VERY excited about SM64, but this game? Not so much. Its the kind of game Ill play like 6 months or a year from now when I feel like the system might be more worth buying.
