The shortage is over because as we just saw from the June NPD numbers, the 360 sold twice as much. So yeah, I would say demand for the PS3 has dropped.

360 just demolished the PS3. I think Sony needs to figure something out here. Not enough great exclusives coming out, the system still costs more than the cheapest 360. That is a recipe for fail, as we can see from the numbers this month.
By the way I did give this game a second shot, played through it again, except I skipped every cut scene, I think I beat the game in about 6 hours. That means the game must have like 10 hours of cut scenes, thats pathetic. Cut that in half, double the length of the actual gameplay sections and then ill discuss how good that game is.
I agree. I mean if you're going to call Batman a stealth game, then dont you have to call uncharted 2 a stealth game? They both have as much stealth as each other.
Its an action game, with some pretty minor and basic stealth features thrown in for variety, but it is not primarily a stealth game.
No top 10 sneaking game list needs MGS4 in it. It was the worst MGS, I like the other 3 a lot, absolutely hated MGS4. Good graphics dont make a game great, and by the time I finished playing that for about 17 hours I guess first time through, I felt like I only actually played about 5 hours of actual game.
One of the worst high profile games this gen, but it still gets good reviews by default just because its MGS, even though the game is awful.
Love how they always show these cutscene photos, then you watch some gameplay and it looks nowhere near as good. Keep trying that old trick though guys, it will work on some people I guess.
No thats not true. I spend $100 for a wheel for Forza 2, used the wheel for about 6 months, then switched back to the controller, turns out I was better with the controller.
Wheels are irritating, having to take them out and hook them up every time you want to sit down and play.
I sure hope he is talking gameplay and features, because from that time trials demo and prologue, the graphics arent even close to being next gen, so I hope that was not what he was referring to.
Love the MGS series, one of my favs, but I was very disappointed in this game. Too much story that was not very interesting, too little gameplay that was closer to gears of war than MGS.
I know from his podcast that Kojima is a huge gears fan, but common this is a sneaking game, and unless you were doing a BBE or no alerts run, sneaking in that game was useless, even on the harder difficulties because of snakes ridiculously over powered arsenal, and just being able to press ...
I agree he needs to be making movies, not games. Its clearly what he really wants to be doing. But what he tried to do with MGS 4 making it 75% movie and 25% game did not work at all. And the movie part wasnt even good, the story in that game was so bad.
He needs to direct movies, but dont let him have any input on the script or let him write anything, he's not very good at that either. He writes like a 10 year old. War.... has changed... genes, memes and nanomachines. <...
WAS is the missing word in your post there. MGS1-3 are beloved, 4 was garbage. IT got good reviews by default because its an MGS game, just like all mario games have to get high scores, but that game, if you even want to call it a game, was not very good.
Kojima had so much passion and talent for making games that he spend 3 years and millions of dollars working on the worst MGS game, 4. That game was awful. Love games where it takes me 15 hours to beat it, yet I only actually played around 4 hours. Thats always fun.
I agree, but the truth is as far as gaming goes, thats a problem. Look at the PS2 last gen, it absolutely dominated the entire market.
Just 1 gen later, MS beats them by 1 year, and 4 years later they are still ahead of Sony. Quite a change of power in the industry. So if they just let MS beat them out of the gate again, that tells me that Sony doesnt stand a chance at getting back to the top of the mountain for 7-10 years.
Dumbest post of the day ladies and gentlemen. The PS3 cant even figure out how to surpass the 2nd xbox, and this guy thinks it will somehow survive the NEXT one, which naturally will be far more powerful than the PS3.

I dont think anyone is denying it will outsell forza 3, GT has been around far longer. but we're talking about quality, and if youve played prologue and that time trials demo, not a single aspect of either is on the level of forza 3.
Im talking about physics and graphics, not features since GT5 isnt even out, but the actual in game arent very impressive at all, take a look at those environments, and the game just doesnt feel great, it cant really touch forza at all in ...
Hate to tell you this, but Forza 3 scored in the high 9's across the board. Check metacritic. It's literally impossible to get on a much higher level, as you can see from those reviews.
