Faults in Mass Effect = too short, need MOOAARRR!
My PS4 = STOLEN, friendless you shall remain till the end of time
And even if they screwed it up, I want a Blade Runner Sequel/Remake just to put me in that "place" again.
Rutger Hauer's character at the end, "tears, in the rain. Time, to die." whew... just awesome.
It's why they are giving away games with price cuts to move units. The PS4 bundles include the price of the game in the total, nobody needs to slash anything to move the product.
Ryse kicked itself in the foot in too many places though.
One example, games with armored/masked soldiers can better get away with having more or less "identical" character models and such, but for all of Ryse's barbarians, the repeated models were so obvious. They didn't look bad, just repetitive. Technical limitation? Laziness? Whatever it is... it's there.
Now if Ryse were able to push that visual fidelity to the next level, more dive...
Music of Mass Effect was great too, such a throw back to the likes of Blade Runner and that musical score, brilliant.
Mass Effect wasn't without its "faults" either, but the foundation was there for sure, I'm just complaining MOSTLY because these games that I DO begin to love, end too quickly, which is why I am such a proponent of anything, open world, whatever, that can extend that gameplay experience and replaybility.
Screens don't do the visuals justice at all, all the cloth waving around, the dust, particles and other non-static visual effects are lost here.
But the whole plot, in regards to how it played out, needed work. And it would have been more successful/fun as a semi-open world game more akin to Mass Effect. I think we are moving away from "full linearity," unless your game's story is PERFECT (Last of Us).
MGS series is even making adjustments t...
With so many examples to the contrary, I think it's safe to chalk this one up to developer issues, not hardware...
It is evident simply due to the fact they seemingly don't have the presence of mind to adjust the resolution in order to meet the frame rate "requirements."

Blessed art thou holy vessel of the magestic dorito

Looks better when you squint your eyes together and sort of let your vision go out of focus.
I didn't expect so much negativity toward an all-digital future for games/media... I like having the option of physical media, but this could easily be remedied by providing some conveniences to the consumer in order to bridge the gap so to speak between physical and digital formats.
- add a "make a copy" feature, for those with blu-ray writers, an option to make ONE single copy of a game you own (digitally) if you choose to later on conserve HDD space by "...
Agree/Disagree
I think for me, the plateau is around the 1080p resolution.
Of course this is all relative, that is, to dimensions of the respective screen you are viewing media on. Phones and tablets, average size televisions, have really gotten to the point where more (for the current price of 4K) isn't as necessary, or even nearly as noticeable an improvement over 480i to 1080p...
There was an article way back I read, excellent point on...
Nothing to do with being "that" worried... like a two second decision, "oh this one performs better at higher specs? I pick that one."
Done deal
Other than that, shut up and play on the console/PC you choose.
And HD optical video playback out of the box... (PS3) I won't bother going into detail debunking the asinine statement about the relevance of the inclusion of a blu-ray drive last gen.
X1 WITHOUT Kinect STILL doesn't match the PS4 price as the PS4's base hardware is more advanced/costly as well (if we compare to PC specs and such).
You'd be paying say 400 for something that STILL wouldn't be a match technically. X1 for what you get - Kinec...
What about X1? No X1?
What are they doing in Japan? Not being sarcastic, are they up to something significant over there, or just blowing hot air?
Come on... say it... you know you want to :)
