I thought somebody mentioned they should have NOT sugar coated this crap, and now someone is trying to turn the fact that they misread the market's reaction so poorly into some amazing feat of software engineering?
The audacity...
We have DRM now... we removed it! WOOOOOWWWWW!!!
What do I want to rent hmmm... Wait... so now I can easily rent any new CoD games, and only be out a few bucks when they continue making no improvements! Yay!
It would definitely take some balance work, but they could do it. Certain areas indestructible, others only surface destruction, some full building demolition, some maps ZERO destruction apart from cosmetic.
I'm just gonna wait on a sequel or possibly when the price is down as the game is just a bit to 'thin' for me right now for full price.
Now CoD (peer pressured into it) was a complete waste of 60.00... but then again, there wasn't tons too...
They better make up for these sorts of things in other areas...
Game is better (at least more intriguing) than CoD at least, so it's a good "first game." I want destructability in the sequel and more mech variety, game modes, and A STORY CAMPAIGN!
I totally agree, though there is still merit in the "traditional" numerical assignment of a "score" based on experience and expectation with what else we have all played.
I have played games which I would score low in many categories, especially visuals, that I absolutely love.
It's all about perspective. Right now, in this market, with the hardware available and demonstrations of what that hardware can do, this title under performs in...
Maybe they can patch in a longer install, remember Snake smoking a cigarette during sectional installs in MGS4 between Acts. Or that beginning sequence with the cooking show, exercise dudes, commercials, interview with David Hayter.
Zero to do with X1 here:
"Though Titanfall is somewhat regrettably a barebones game in terms of modes and customization features available at launch..."
Minus 3 points alone for a lack of content no matter HOW well executed
Minus 2 for piss poor visuals and that's being generous
Plus 17 that controller looks freaking awesome and I don't even care about custom controllers and colors and all that.
Disagree on Little Big Planet assessment only partly, since you admit that a good part of your decision is based purely upon personal preference and opinion towards "platformers."
Therein lies the problem I think, the game is far more than any run of the mill platformer is why your assessment is destined to produce a negative critique of the game's success at what it does.
For Skyrim, I agree, but I have a more realistic view of what theses cons...
I disagree, I think it is closer to a lukewarm stick of butter, not quite liquid, but certainly smooth and soft to the touch. Something low fat, but with all the savory flavor of the real thing.
Not even a technical showcase for 360..
Both consoles, 360 and X1 are capable of much more.
I think Ryse's unvaried gameplay was it's biggest downfall or flaw at least. To me, the actual "gameplay" looked very smooth, just repetitive as all holy hell and not enough other things to do to mix it up.
Not an excuse, but to be expected of first year titles.
I'm still thinking phones and tablets, PC is certainly as strong as ever, if not more so, but I don't really see it eating into the console market even if we include all these Steam machines, or other aspects which are making the PC "experience" more akin to consoles.
Did someone here mention Killzone?... :)
Was he responding to Loadedklip above?
Meds... take em as directed...
And as you will notice, no malicious disagrees for you :) or bubble detractions, don't invest yourself so emotionally in this stuff.
And please... every other one of your comments somehow addresses something "sony" or "fanboy."
Take a breath, relax and just rest your mind a w...
A mustache comb? hmmm, I wonder how they are going to work that in...
Well, off to comb my stache.

There simple, reduce some other things/effects, work with the hardware and any game can make 1080p... people need to chilax.
As much as I didn't care for it as a multiplayer game, I would have enjoyed a cooperative sort of "single player" campaign experience with good replayability, mostly because I just like mechs :)
Any game can be 1080p... they just have to bump down the other visual effects or frame rate... it's so silly this whole thing.
It isn't JUST 1080p or JUST 60 fps... it needs to look good doing it...
Wha? What do you mean "without him?"
If it happens, the last Metal Gear... should feature Kojima as the main character, your character, Metal Gear: Kojima.
