Was there a price drop or something?
Well if Cerny isn't a genius he sure is the smartest dumb@ss idiotic sob I ever heard of and you can take that to the bank.
Plus, his name has CERN in it and CERN is the euro organization for nuclear research and junk and nuclear physicists are smart... ergo... Mark Cerny is smart.
Pure logic right there
Could of done Vapor like viper or just Air, or Wind?? no not wind, that's more a condition of air...
MGS and Kojima = yay
X1-lite, no kinect, smaller, sleeker form factor, no optical drive (digital only) with 2TB HDD, 165 dollars cheaper.
Bam
Apart from the desparation in this "article," it doesnt actually detract from PS4 performance capability at all. Single player achieved 1080p full hd 30 fps. The multiplayer was altered to provide a smoother experience via 60 fps.
Peoples just don't be comprehending duh latencies...
Even 1.5 ms or so would be enormous to anything happening with "speed" in such a game...
Sprinting or driving, or even turning quickly if the design doesn't account for this...
Maybe in a puzzel game or something it would be fine... or some perpetually distant object or background that never really leaves your view/changes relative to your character/camera position.
Clever, and yes. :)
Well alright, when I go put "GROUND ZEROES x 200" into my trusty pocket calculator and it doesn't equal something at least CLOSE to "THE PHANTOM PAIN," we are going to have trouble my friend.
I wonder if I could use my abacus... "inexplicably pulls full size abacus out of back pocket and begins calculations"
Yup, you can use an abacus..
It IS quite telling when you have to look to your competitor (Microsoft vs Sony NOT fanboy vs fanboy) to make mistakes in order to vindicate your own poor performance.
Consumers/fanboys are the most ridiculous with all this.
THEY stand to lose the most by irrationally defending one piece of hardware over another when there is overwhelming evidence in favor of the "opposing" platform.
It's like sports fans or anything else I supp...
Agreed, but... yes there are dimwits who, themselves probably couldn't "see" the difference without a screenshot-to-screenshot comparison, but it doesn't change a very important and indeed the most important fact (apart from "games should be fun") and that is:
If your game is rendered at 1080p over your competitor's 720p with all the same in-game assets... if you BUMPED the 1080p resolution down to equal the 720p that would free up tremendous p...
I do recall Guerrilla mentioning this before launch, don't know which/who Sony-specific who-sa-whatsits said something contrary.
Laughable the droves of, I'm assuming X1/Microsoft fans, lapping this up as some form of vindication of the short-comings of their own preferred platform...
Sony "fan" here (I'm just a user people, don't have preferences based on emotion), and Killzone was lackluster as a game, gorgeous visuals in single pl...
... The two screens are both easily within your view at the same time...
Not even close comparing THAT to looking up at a TV screen then down at your game pad then back again.
Tell me you see this?
And GTAV, but that was more to do with the looooong dev time and 100 million dollar budget...
Money solves lots of problems :)
So all the people NOT buying X1s were all just waiting for THIS title to launch to change their minds?
I don't see it... but to be fair, there is NO game on any platform at this point that made me want a PS4, just the prospect of all those future titles and the attractively-priced PS4 and its features, however "incomplete" they may be at this point.
If they did that, and for Uncharted also, I would HOPE they would "blend" all the games into one with a little additional something or other that makes it seem like one long game. Not like three different menus and this and that. Make whatever adjustments make sense to consistently blend them together, even control or tactics changes if applicable. I guess something that extensive would require a REMAKE really.
Yep, Nintendo may have a dud on their hands... sad, but I give them props for attempting something different. I guess they didn't play test it enough and assumed tablet is the way to go when integrating with a console which is still primarily interacting through a main television monitor... point is, it isn't really feasible to be looking down at your tablet screen and then back up to a tv screen. And all the side "bits" that a tablet bring don't add up to a great experi...
I felt this way on the PC version, but something in the controls got lost in the translation for me. I switch between console and PC shooters all the time and don't notice this much difference in how the controls "feel."
BF3 and 4 feel great across PC and console (even last gen consoles), this one got "stiff" and "jerky" somehow.
Great for F2P though.
Resolution DOESN't in fact matter, but it just means if one can run the same game with possibly other visually more impressive effects AND higher resolution to boot, then other future games should and WILL be of a higher standard as well...
Now if THAT doesn't matter to someone buying a machine designed for outputting virtual environments and objects to interact with, then I don't know what to say, good for you.
Wait for a Naughty Dog release I guess then...
Resolution DOES matter..
See how that works... I made the "DOES" in all caps for emphasis, so now it's true.
