We need more consoles!!! :) Like, seven more...
Probably just get the PSP title, it seems they took too much away from what made this game so good (old school carry tons of weapons, took away vehicle control from what I've read, still no run button apparently and didn't really add anything new from what I can tell).
What about justifying why they didn't purchase something...? You people think so one-sided; we all think to ourselves, hmmm...which should I purchase and in your mind you weigh the negatives and positives of your potential choices, don't say that you don't. Some people speak about their choices aloud.
There's also the simply fact, fanboys excepted, that it is natural as well as necessary to point out both the faults and their frequency of occurrence with any product; not to do so would be asinine. When it appears someone is bashing a particular console, it may only be based upon which console, in someone's opinion, possesses the majority of faults.
The old health system wouldn't have been so bad if it were a single continuous health bar that healed slowly over time or they provided additional minor health boosts every now and again, but total regeneration is the way to go.
I hope there's a run, but at least they did away with the old health system.
Did you happen to notice those skinny/lanky chimera that were swarming the streets of Chicago and how when they were running and changed directions (turned) they had to "lean" in order to make the turn...awesome mocap movements...!!!
I just wonder what a game would look like if they spent, say, three or four years working on it as opposed to the year or so it usually takes them...jeez, it would be incredible.
"Though it is easier to make the graphics better for the more powerful system."
I agree, the PS3 has more power to wield, but it doesn't work that way...it depends on the nature of the architecture of the system and dev familiarity with that architecture that determines quality of output; PS3 has new, unfamiliar architecture.
Nothing but props for Koji, but saying this generation isn't capable of next gen computer games is sort of like, duh... this gen is this gen, so why should it be able to do what his vision of the next generation will be...and about growing vegetation and all that, I think we will see it this gen, but not every game (few really) would ever call for such a thing. Action/movie fast paced titles that never have you revisiting the same area to even witness such an effect would be pointless; I don'...
The funny part about the AI being toned down for the press is, the press still REEEEALLY sucked at the game; constantly, gun sight hovering right on enemy head, then, suddenly move the sight off target and then choose to fire maybe hitting a leg or shin...god those press people suck.
Uhhh...Sony is ahead of where the Xbox 360 was at the same time on market and the Wii is something nothing could catch currently due to its low price point (which basically excludes it amongst consideration alongside the other consoles. PS3 is ahead of where the PS2 was when it was on the market for the same amount of time...this has already been stated by Sony many times.
And blu-ray will ensure the PS3 reaches 150 million.
Because it is undeserving of the hype...it's only good because, originally, Xbox titles of any real quality were few and far between (capabilities of the Xbox not at fault, just the devs); Halo series is, at best, an average bunch of games to me; Bungie gave Xbox loyalists what they always wanted but never really had until Halo and so they idolized Bungie for it, thus was born the legend that is Halo.
And as legends often do, with every telling, Halo is unjustly made to seem the ...
A bit pretentious to simply claim MS had the best conference of the three, but oh well. Funny how the economic slow down isn't affecting PS3 sales which continue to rise...
Can you imagine 256 CAMPERS!!! I hope they give you access to some kind of carpet bombing perk! :)
Okay, message me with a One-to-One on where Sony didn't match or surpass what Microsoft brought, just for giggles :) Let's see who can make the better argument.
MS Conference: here's Gears 2 and some other mediocre titles, here's a title that we recently acquired that would already have been available on another platform, here's avatars and a new dashboard...
Sony Conference: here's MAG (doing something never before seen on consoles), here's Killzone 2 (despite whether you think it is boring, everyone that liked CoD 4 is lying if they say they don't like this because it is at least graphically superior in every aspect with the exception ...
"Ahhh, the Sony Defense team!
It's cool and all that you guys think Sony did better, obviously there announcements excited you more! But just know that the common perception among everyone else, including professional analyst is that MS won."
A professional analyst? You think he went to school and got a degree in "analyzing" video expos? And "facts are facts?" Are you on crack or are you being influenced by some neuro-degenerative psychotropic ...
I think unlimited character slots should have been a must, but paying for extra gear and crap is okay; at least it should be easy to change the way your character looks without wiping stats or anything...jeez.
The first thing I'm gonna do, beside customizing my sack, is make a king of the hill level to just screw around in and fight my friends for the top...that means slapping each other around, fire obstacles and a dragon.
