They already said that the bundle will only be available in limited quantities upon it's initial release in order to gauge the viability of the larger HDD enabled console in the marketplace...if it sells well they will produce more; I read that somewhere a day or so ago.

Yep, this game has seemingly gotten worse (visually anyway), but perhaps it's just the vid...I know one thing, after playing MoH Airborne, I don't trust any Unreal Engine games on the PS3 anymore, but it does appear that if you don't use tactics the game is really boring...it wasn't meant to be run and gun by any means. Oh well, maybe there are enough people out there that enjoy tactical type war games...I'll pass.

I personally think Microsoft should continuously lower the price of the 360 in Japan just to see at what point if any they will really sell over there...that way, if they don't sell no matter how cheap they are Microsoft can avoid wasting time on Japan altogether on their next time around.

I'd say tech demo was much better than the game engine version, but that is expected singe game engine stuff is completely unpolished...basically in a pre, pre, pre alpha state.

Tech demo (as tech demos are) was only a good guess of what it would look like.

Game Engine demo (which is what was viewed at Leipzig) NOT ACTUAL GAME, what the actual game engine can accomplish long before polishing stages.

That's all we've seen so far, a tech demo compared to a game engine demo...NOT THE GAME

Watch Microsoft try and rip this off...I predict they come out with some kind of camera peripheral someday. Simply brilliant though, super cute and fun!

This is a grave day for the Wii...what an utterly underwhelming experience this looks to be; glad I never bought a Wii.

What I can't grasp is how the color pallet ever became an issue when no on ever mentions that it is somehow hindering the game in any way, i.e., more difficult to play or something; since when did people become so concerned with the color of games? Just for kicks, the devs should include an entirely alternate color pallet for the game available as a bonus on your second play through...lots of pinks, neon oranges and rainbows...yeah, that's what this game needs.

I know this is a bit unrelated, but...I wish Konami or someone would figure out a way to have MGS4 install once on your damn system and keep it there instead of install, delete, install, delete... JESUS!

It would have been nice if Sony included some option to backup disks (where you have to have a valid key and register it with PSN or something so no one else could use it) and I think that would greatly prevent this sort of thing. I guess they could still do it with future firmware updates...

What are you talking about?! Gears of War is extremely colorful...you just have to jack up the brightness and color settings on your TV, that's all :)

Definitely agree with you there...I understand the pessimist's view on FPS games in general and the "failure" of Killzone 1 to live up to the unwarranted hype built around it, but if they looked for one second at the visual fidelity maintained in the multiplayer version as well as the neat and clever features, i.e. attack drones, swapping skill sets between classes, et cetera, one can easily see that these devs are doing things right and that Killzone 2 has everything one could want...

Almost forgot, the Frostbite engine used by the Dice devs for Battlefield Bad Company would be excellent for a WWII game, not to mention the destructability.

I think it will look at least as good as CoD 4, but I really think they were lazy by using the IW CoD 4 engine for a WWII game...while the engine looks good for the modern setting it lacks the "weight" and grittiness necessary for a believable WWII game. I think a more appropriate, albeit overly used engine would be the Unreal Engine (plenty of grit), or one similar in appearance to it.

The fire effects for the flame-throwers are decent enough, but nothing outstanding l...

They should be concerned about all three, but in this order from least worry to most worrisome:

Video Games

Porn

Alcohol

Shutting down servers...servers get shut down for hosting games when it no longer becomes feasible to maintain them due to the unpopularity of a given title or the company no longer feels it necessary.

6517d ago 1 agree7 disagreeView comment

Uhhh...the original metal gear online shutdown and any games that potentially become unpopular with people will either be shut down or no one plays (like Medal of Honor Airborne) so there is no point, but at least a game like MoH had a single player to fall back on...what do you do in those cases?

6517d ago 0 agree2 disagreeView comment

Might have been fun, but I don't buy games that become useless after the servers shutdown eventually...the same goes for Warhawk; if only they included bots (even stupid ones) I would buy both those games or even a little single player. Too bad.
