I am really disappointed in the Forzavista, it is not as detailed as it used to be in Forza 4. They half assed the forzavista this gen.

The "knee jerk" reaction came before we knew anything about the always online policy. People were "upset" intially because MS didn't focus on games only during the unveilling of the console...go back and read the articles and watch the YouTube videos.
People then completely lost it when they announced always online.

What reason would I have to lie about the difference being minute??? I am a gamer....if the differences were major, I would say so.

MS had a REALLY good E3 2013. I don't care about what these companies say they are GOING to do, I don't buy into marketing terms or slogans (i.e. for the gamer/player). I go by what they actually SHOW ME, and what MS showed at their 2013 E3 was awesome. Killer Instinct, Ryse, Dead Rising, Quantum Break, Forza 5 etc...what was more exciting was that most of those games were coming in a few months.

The xb1 was unveiled like any other electronic to date. Example: When a new Galaxy or Iphone is revealed. They first show what the product looks like then they demonstrate ALL of the capabilities and FEATURES of the phone or device, even though its main function is to make calls.

I don't remember seeing an abundance of articles in the hot section or throughout N4G discussing resolution at nauseam. The only article I remember seeing that even close to all of the resolution talk was the "blades of grass" crap from Mafia 2 (I think). So what AAA exclusive does Sony have until march?? That is almost 8 months without a AAA exclusive game. Each one of these consoles has its droughts, which is why its best to own them both.

I say it's not that big of a deal because in reality it isnt. No one is playing a game in sub 1080p unless you are playing on a pc and have your game set to play at that resolution. These consoles have upscaler chips in them that make the difference between native 1080p and upscaled 1080p almost undetectable to the human eye. Sadly...it is important, but not for the reasons most would think. Its important for public perception. The PERCEPTION is that the xbox one is weak and it cannot do 1080p, but its competition can. As you can see...public perception means everything in this business which is why MS has been focused on changing those negative perceptions since 2013. In REALITY...native 1080p isn't that big of a deal considering most cannot even tell the difference (which is why digital foundry exist).
Personally I would have preferred that they knock the resolution down and went for 60fps. Between the upscaler in my tv and the upscaler in the xbox one, I am already receiving a really good picture in video games.
Agreed...honestly at this point if you have to ask the question, then obviously your eyballs cannot tell the difference. At this point NO ONE who has seen the game has mentioned anything about resolution, meaning the game looks good. If you are waiting for digital foundries machines to tell you what the game is running at...you clearly cannot tell the difference with your own eyes.
