How is it being sold as a gimmick? By definition a gimmick is something that is used to trick or fool the audience to believe something for marketing purposes. Where is the trick or deception here? The game is a game, has cutscenes like any other game, and also has a live action portion. I think The word they are looking for is innovation, because I cannot think of any modern game who has done this the way that remedy is doing it.
Haha...I just tried to do the same thing yesterday. For the first time I hoped in one of the indie cars, turned my surround sound up as loud as I can take and had a blast. The game still holds up 2 year's later. I cannot wait for 6
I said it once, and I will say it again. Sony has some of the smartest PR people in the game right now. Not only are they doing the psx in December right b4 the holidays but they are doing it in the home of one of the biggest gaming news outlets in gaming...IGN.
Microsoft is like a rich guy that can buy anything or woman they want. But Sony is like the guy who doesn't have as much money but can win over the woman's heart by telling here what she wants to hear. I admir...

If it wasn't restricted to multiplayer, people would be freaking out, saying that MS brought DRM online only back (I know this because I see the uninformed freaking out about it already).
Which is funny because no one is complaining Titanfall, Destiny and others being online only....weird.
On topic: I think this game will get a late 2016 release or be pushed to early 2017.

A few things...first, I wasn't just talking about the tv stuff. I was speaking about MS's vision as a whole.
A little about me, in 2013 I had already had my mind set and budgeted to buy all of the consoles, like I do every generation. I was mostly excited for what MS was doing, because they seemed to be trying to push the medium forward with cloud computing, game sharing, media hub, and the merging of games/movies/entertainment and tv shows. Forever...
WOW!!! This is not good.... this guy has been amazing. I wonder why he is moving on? Sometimes I just sit back and listen to the soundtrack. This guy will be tough to replace.

Yes... it is amazing how quiet the gaming media is about this. There it is right there in their fade (a breakthrough in modern gaming) and they are ignoring it because it is MS.
This is indeed super cool. I just find it funny that most of the big gaming news sites or high profile youtubers are not talking about this, considering how much MS was being mocked and called liars for saying this tech is coming to the xb1. I remember so many saying the "Powa of the clouds" is impossible, but here it is, and all of the pundits just disappeared....lol

A lot of people here don't seem to understand this concept. I lost a bubble for basically saying the same thing that is being said here. If MS wanted to get COD dlc again, they could have, simply because things like that go to the highest bidder, not who is more popular.

I disagree! From Rise, to Dead Rising, to Halo, and now quantum Break... all of MS live show tie ins have been top notch, and high quality, with good acting. I like what MS is doing, they seem to really get behind their investments and try to give us good production value.

Reminds me of the guys at gamestop who are always trying to get me to buy/pre-order things for my ps4 instead of my other gaming devices. I'm like NO! When I want something for my ps4, I will get it....stop asking me...lol
It's about time we got dates on this...the question is will people be willing to wait a year to play it, or buy an xb1 and enjoy it day one.
This is the reason I buy all of the consoles, I don't have to worry about waiting for anything, I can get it day one.

The real question is would we be comparing the graphics of these two games if TR wasn't exclusive? I don't remember such graphic comparisons ever b4 TR became exlusive.
With that said, Uncharted has always looked better than TR in terms of graphics.
These games are technically ports...not remasters. All they are doing is upping the resolution and framerates. There are other games that are actually being remastered like Rachet and Clank, some of MCC, and Gears Ultimate.
Wow dude...you are being very petty...lol. The arguments are silly. If you want to be that technical about it then Remedy is technically correct. The live cutscenes are a "show" which is being shown on your tv, which makes it a tv show. Ur argument is flaud in a sad attempt for attention.
