Yes I think MK needed a change but not this much of a change, the only thing that seems to remain the same is the characters names. IMO the original story/costumes/powers were perfect especially with the technology we have today (see "The Last Airbender" trailer, or "300". I totally agree with you on that one and I have been saying this since the announcement in 09. I am as much of a video game fan as I am a technology fan. The fact that I may be able to walk into my living room and say xbox/tv ON or being able to swipe my way through menus and say "play move" will excite me in itself. Natal, with some cool games will be icing on the cake for me!

Yes I tried to be optimistic about this but I am officially not backing up Natal anymore unless this video is using the same tech from E3 09 or they surprise me at E3 2010. After seeing this video I just cant do it anymore.
The question is why do they let all of these video's with people that have no clue what is going on get out? At least let someone who knows a little bit about what they are doing play it. This is just dumb!!!

@some_one_plays Ok first of all have you guys played the wii with a wii motion plus??? Try wii resort or red steel 2 it reacts to your movements and force accurately like the move does, I talking wrist movements angle's and everything here is proof for you since you guys probably dont have one.

Wait a minute let me clarify my statement. I meant what I said from a graphical and physics stand point. If a game becomes too "real" then it wouldn't be as fun and you couldn't really call it a video game anymore, it would become some sort of real life simulator.

Sad to say, but you might be correct. If all this turns out to be another eye toy for the most part, I will be highly upset.
First of all, besides the character models when was Mortal Kombat actually "realistic"? There is a little fantasy in everything. I think you may have misunderstood my comment. Like I said I am not against change, change is good, however I feel as though this change in particular is to DRASTIC! I agree more with REIBOOI, in the fact that yes to much gore would make the film too cartoony, but a good mesh between fantasy and reality while keeping it gritty would be great for this movie...
