Remember when segregation was a Bad Thing?

It's not just the cutscenes (though I'd argue that the story and characters are the same god awful, one none nothings we've seen in every other anime series) it's the fact that there's a loading screen between EVERY SINGLE SCENE TRANSITION.

YES. This was such a fun game, and it seems like exactly the kind of thing that would be popular now. I'd love to see a new one, or even a spiritual successor kind of deal.

Oh look, cheatcc with the clickbait hot take. What a surprise.

@one2thr

And yet, it still bored the hell out of me back when I was an easy to please kid who liked pretty much every game he played. Also, review scores aren't the be all end all. GTA4 got a million and a half 10/10s and these days most everybody recognizes that it was a pretty bad game.

People's enjoyment of this game is basically going to come down to "are you sick of zombies and/or third person cinematic shooters?" if no, then you'll enjoy it, if yes, then it's a rental at best.

I've played Siphon Filter. It's a terrible series and hearing that the people who made that are making this just dulled my interest.

So...they're just naming popular things and saying this will be like them? Is it like Dark Souls too?

Agreed. It's an amazing game when it works, and the developers have been good at fixing the issues. Should they have been fixed pre launch? Of course, but I'm much more forgiving when this happens with a small dev team than when it happens with a major, AAA release.

I really hate these articles that are just excerpts from other articles with added, unnecessary commentary.

It's Mic.com, stupid is par for the course there.

Part of me wishes it had some really cool and unique design, but I'm still impressed by how small it is. I was expecting it to be bigger than the launch One.

This is right up my alley. How have I never heard about this before?

Oh, right. Instead of reporting on games, most websites have to put out the 2,876th article about who "won" E3.

Or, alternatively, I could keep not giving Tim Schafer money.

No one cares. FFS, this is a forum post not an article.

Really looking forward to this. Games (and entertainment media in general) don't really explore the father/son bond much these days. And I've wanted Kratos to be more human (or anything beyond Shouty Angry Man) since GoW2. It'll be great to see him as an actual character with emotions beyond anger.

Yes. I've been saving up for it ever since last year's E3. It works out great too, because my fiance's Xbox One's disc reader is starting to die, so I'll get my X and he'll get my S and everyone will be happy.

THIS. I remember when Gears of War came out and for like three years after every single third person shooter with a cover system was called a "Gears clone". Same with every third person open world game with cars being called a "GTA clone" after GTA3. It's like people don't understand that genres are a thing and games in similar genres are going be be similar. Not everything needs to be 100% unique.

Let's be honest, he's only on there because his name sounds like Conor McGregor.

As someone who's been a Nintendo hater for years, they've been doing a really good job lately of actually earning their reputation instead of coasting on it. The Switch is much better than it had any right to be, and if they keep up with the good first party games, attract more third party developers, and actually start shipping more consoles they have a good chance of being the powerhouse they used to be.
