I'm furious... releases 3 days before infamous? WHY do publishers do this? No doubt one of those games will suffer due to consumers being forced to decide and then we'll get more "disappointing sales" reports.

Um, yeah, no. And I suppose Mario 3D world is selling poorly because the game is bad? No, there's a reason for bad sales (for both GT & 3D world) and it's not the quality of the game.
@intentions I disagree completely. Sony thought the same thing with GT6 and look how that's turning out. Next gen gamers are far more eager and willing to buy games right now than 7/8 of the previous gen install base. Don't let install base numbers fool you... so much of those owners are people who bought the system on a whim or who aren't really even gamers. Gamers are into the new systems and when you release on older systems, your core audience has moved on already.
Let this be an important lesson to publishers who think "hey, lets make our game on all previous gen systems too!"
Fact is, Next gen is what we've been waiting for, it's what we're willing to spend more money on now. Just because an install base is huge doesn't mean that magically everyone who owns that system is going to buy the game.
Consoles have a lot of people who buy them on whims and people who aren't really into gaming so...

Agreed with both of you. This game could be a massive hit, but since it looks like a massive hit, I can also see sony & ms going after it. I hope it's on all platforms eventually though.

I'm actually waiting for MS to put in a clause in their contracts to 3rd party devs that PS4 cannot have a better resolution or framerate than xb1 versions.
