Yeah except to use OR you really need to run at 60fps... xb1 is having a hard time with that.
So you're mad you stayed in shadows to avoid being caught, you're mad that ammo was scarce, mad about combat (aren't you suppose to stay hidden and undetected?), mad about lack of tutorials...
So by that logic... you'd rather:
not have to go around in the shadows all the time, have tons of ammo and arrows to load up on, have superb high octane combat with tons of animations, and have the game hold your hand with tutorials.
Just stop. Please. You all would only be happy if they released the same game from 1999 and added in more levels. There's literally nothing they could've done to this game that you all would've been okay with. Stop trying to act like it's awful. Go watch some original thief gameplay and remind yourself how awful that looks today.
You all are victims of nostalgia.
@steampowered what you're hearing are annoyed PC gamers who are mad their pr...
1080p/60 on first person shooter would look quite unimpressive on xb1 since it's not an enclosed racer. I mean even F5 had to use sprites. This game would benefit more from 720p/30 in all seriousness.
Coming this year and literally nothing has been shown so far except a concept trailer... oh and also they had their lead designer leave for ND late last year.
And if I've said something that isn't factual please feel free to correct me.
@theWB27 Gotcha, thanks.
the whole 'gonna need a bigger hard drive' statement just isn't true. You can uninstall games at any time and they're extremely easy to download again whenever you want them. They don't just go away forever.
Pros of digital, tied to your account... no scratched discs, no chance of losing it (stolen, fire etc). Whatever system you sign in to you can download your games.
Your cons I don't personally agree with. Collectibility--I prefer a digital bookshelf of games than loading up a real shelf with games. That awesome artwork? That's cool to look at once.
Also, you don't pay taxes on digital which saves you $5 a game. That adds up. Also when you buy seco...
I saw another word in that title... gave the game a whole new meaning. Yikes.
This is risky business... if I'm an average joe and I know the xb1 is $499 and the ps4 is $399 and all the sudden I see they're both priced the same, to me that says the xb1 is struggling and therefore had to drop their price, while the ps4 is a beast and doesn't need a price cut yet.
@stank08 Why in the blue hell would I need ANY of that though?
Gotta celebrate success when it happens. Too many things these days go under or under perform. When something is THIS successful and FOR THE RIGHT REASONS, not because it's built on a gimmick, then by all means be jubilated!
Yeah and I totally get that too. On one hand it's easy to feel insured when you can hold a game in your hand because that means it's there and no policy change or whatever can take it away. But on the other hand I personally feel there's more insurance in buying it digitally and having my account tied to that game so if god forbid there's a fire or i'm robbed or a disc gets scratched, that game is just a download away on whatever system I'm signed in to.
Is it not weird there's a beta less than a month before release? My instinct says a delay is inevitable.
there are goods and bads with both directions... ultimately I went digital this gen because of a reason that many people go the opposite. I went digital because I COULDN'T sell games to gamestop. I made too many hasty decisions last gen and sold off great games for quick buck (no ones fault but my own) and time and time again at a later date I'd want to play a game and then realize I sold it off.
So I just took away my ability to sell games back. It also makes me a m...
True most the games look good no matter the resolution. But why go out for a $500 burger when you can have a $400 steak?
...maybe...not ... the best analogy....
Like everything else they do... every decision they make... for the investors.
Colin did what he was suppose to do, report EXACTLY what he saw. Personally I think went a little heavy on the negatives but different people focus on different things. I actually wished everyone at IGN was more like Colin and didn't just blindly praise games with a lot of hype into oblivion. *coughtitanfallcough*
take things a bit literally don't you?
Personally I feel like they covered what Bioshock was and closed it nicely. I'm sure they can do what they did with bioshock 2 and just take the art style and go off of it and create some other storyline... but can a Ken Levine-less group create a rapture or columbia? Seems hard to imagine. Ken Levine was the Steve Jobs of IG.
we'll be fine. enjoy PVZ though.
