they did a great job at attracting non gamers and creating the wii fad for parents and grandparents alike. Look at what happened when the fad went away. They did take a risk, they went after non-gamers. Hardly something to reward, IMO.

you mean look at their track record with doing spinoffs of pre-existing franchises and then look at the one they did that's original? Don't think that has anything to do with platforms, sir. It's not like if you throw the order on vita it suddenly becomes great.
I mean... it IS pretty comical just how high of a ledge you can leap off of, not only stick the landing in an EXTREMELY small space, but land on a few square feet of hay and be totally okay.
Like you're ever going to just drop xbox live? Face it... we're all kind of bound to these paid services now.
The amount of "everyone's wrong, here's what's right" articles these days are incredible. Opinions are no longer ours to be had, I guess.
It'd be totally naive and ignorant to think otherwise. Nature of the beast. Besides, leaks almost ALWAYS benefit companies more. People LOVE talking about leaks and it spreads like wildfire.
Forza is honestly the big reason I have an Xbox One. And it's weird because I'm really not that much of a car guy. That series is just...mesmerizing though. And it does everything I WISH the GT series did.
what happened first? people weren't interested in the handheld so sony stopped supporting it or vice versa? Either way... I don't think either one trusts the other right now. The handheld space is tricky with mobile devices out there.
not on my pc! :) ... :/
ultra settings doesn't draw farther tree reflection distances than that? Seems odd seeing tree reflections pop in out of no where like that.
Coming from a magazine that's all about looks without substance i'd say this review is exactly what I'd expect from... GQ. Where we all go for our gaming needs.
I think if this game had mediocre graphics, the positive reviews that are out there would be vastly different. Just saying.
Same as Ryse with xb1 fanboys. It's all the same. Only with Ryse they took what was a kinect game and made it to what it was. With the order, they just kind of lacked a good vision from the start in terms of what kind of video game they wanted to make.
Sounds like watching this launch trailer is very similar to actually playing the game!
I guess if I want to be guided through an experience, room to room, I'll watch a movie. With games I want to have control. The less control I have as a gamer, the more forced and canned everything feels. Linear may be something valued by a lot of people, but it's also seen as a negative by a lot of gamers. It's really pointless to raise concerns about a sony exclusive isn't it... everything to sony fans is justified and good. Even if every exclusive this gen has been style ove...
I don't think it's some blind rage (at least not from everyone) but I've been skeptical too. QTE, extremely linear gameplay, tons of cutscenes... these are all red flags. And when 99% of everything we hear from the devs are simply about the graphics and not really addressing any of the concerns people have, it also raises skepticism. It's not all unjustified. They've done an awful job helping us to understand these decisions regarding the game.
graphics, graphics, graphics, picture mode... that's all I feel like the devs talk about with this game. Seems to the the standard talk for just about all ps4 exclusives this gen so far.
New protagonist and putting a 4 at the end would hurt sales for people who might not have played the first 3. It lets them know it's okay to jump right in.
Do I even need to bring up how dangerous this could be in the wrong hands?
