They're also not building the brand Playstation & nintendo have built. 3rd party games are awesome but it's franchise exclusives that define these brands. XB1 has titanfall, but future games will be multiplatform. MS will always have the rights to halo, but Bungie's new game is multiplat. MS doesn't even have the rights to Gears of War.
The product is as aimless as the company that makes it. - my opinion.
Don't forget driveclub!
If you're not ready after 8 years then I do not understand you, sir or madam.
I see what you're saying abzdine but I think it's the opposite. I think Knack got hit hard because there was no nostalgia tied to it. I think a new Crash game will benefit from nostalgia and people will be more open to it.
"it’s easy to forget that the gaming system was once an underdog in this space"
No, I remember mid 2013 just fine.
@electricone85 and how are sony fanboys the downfall of next gen? Because they don't support the product they don't want? Are we all obligated to buy everything now?
I agree competition is healthy I do not want Xbox to go away but you're obviously bitter at how things are turning out. And no, it's not because of sony fanboys... unless you count the million units sold in only 2 countries in 24 hours. Then yes, THAT part was sony fanboys fault.
1. What Xbox was and what Xbox is are two totally different things. MS really let their xbox team run wild with the first xbox (which was in all actuality built by gamers, for gamers) because they really didn't know if it would be successful. Once they started seeing the potential in ad revenue and saw a glimpse of the casual market (thanks, Wii) they immediately seized control over what Xbox represented and it's never been the same since. Just feels like another MS product now and no...
Don't kid yourselves, they did this to boost their first party numbers. Just like those replacement 360s were also counted in their units shipped numbers.
Maybe it's just me but.... this game is HARD. And i'm playing on normal. To all those people saying this is a stupid kid's game: ha. I wouldn't have it any other way either.
I argue that it's ONLY the playstation community that wants these games. It's when the franchises get whored out to ALL platforms that it loses it's identity and charm. Playstation gamers have an appreciation for old and new like no other fanbase I've seen. COD & Battlefield.... give me a break.
Activision, we don't want your take on Crash. We want the old Crash back, developed by the right company. Dumbing crash down and whoring the franchise out to every platform in existence is the exact of opposite of what that franchise represents to me. Just look at the commercials from the mid-late 90's.
Not that it means anything coming from only one person but I hope I speak for many when I say I will not support a CB game from Activision. It's sony or nothing.
They still didn't acknowledge anything was wrong. Just that some customers might have questions or "believe" they are experiencing an issue.
I admire them for not spewing out the usual "We totally maxed them out!"
Techinically, they didn't. They said "if a customer believes they are experiencing an issue." Implying that the consumer is likely dumb and that there really isn't an issue.
Funny to suggest if a user thinks there is a problem, they should literally ask the console. Not bashing, just think that's funny.
I can hear the rep on the phone "So you think there is a problem? Yes. Okay, and did you ask Xbox if there is a problem?"
Also keep in mind, ps2 to ps3 gave us the jump to HD, which is instantly noticeable. No matter how good the graphics are on ps4, it's hard to compete with the jump from SD to HD. Just my opinion anyway.
I'm blown away by these articles. I've had a blast with next gen so far. Not saying it's blowing my mind yet, but it's absolutely been the most fun I've had at launch with a system since original xbox. I look at 360 & ps3 launch and they were underwhelming to me. This gen seems way better to me at launch.
Shocking to me. I thought with 3gb of ram or whatever it is devoted to the OS it would be lightning fast.
Wonder where the touch pad was....
For once, I agree with IGN. 8/10 seems appropriate.
