I understand where you're coming from, but I think reviews are important in the same way I'll be more hesitant to see a movie that is rated very poorly. As long add they're objective reviews they can be very informative.
Halo 5 should be a great game, sometimes I think people have a preconceived notion about what the game should be based on past experiences and part of me thinks that is what the issue is. Halo games of past usually felt more isolated and desolate...

Same way Microsoft decided that the OG Xbox would require a broadband connection at a time when most internet service providers weren't offering high speed internet for uses like gaming. That choice not only helped MS, but the gaming community and everyday internet users alike. Decisions like these are what push technology further and raise the status quo even higher.
The way I see it, Microsoft took another gamble with the policies t...
That's good for him to acknowledge that I guess. I think most gamers were aware of this anyway. On the other hand, they can focus on bettering the brand and work on outselling their predecessor, the Xbox 360. Last time I heard, the Xbox One was on track to outsell the 360 which didn't do so bad for itself.
As far as I'm concerned, as long as the Xbox division keeps delivering the way they have I'll be happy. Sales don't matter to me as much as the experience ...
That's a very big possibility. In the end, they're still a company and most companies are going to do what they can to lower costs and increase revenue. I'm still planning on buying the white Xbox One on the Gamestop website, but I don't see myself buying this bundle. I just prefer to have hard copies of games at the end of the day.
@Wenapee
That might be the case if, for example, both consoles had the same exact games but one of the consoles just had more than the other. It's different in this case because each console has their own exclusives which will be the deciding factor in a gamer's final choice on which console they prefer.
Some gamers simply will want The Order: 1886, Infamous: SS and Driveclub and some gamers may want Forza 6, Halo 5 and Sunset Overdrive instead. Quan...
Yeah, the last two days are great deals but I think a themed Xbox one would've been great. I also don't get why they didn't atleast make a 1tb version of the white Xbox One that's bundled with the Gears of War: UE that they announced yesterday. Regardless, they'll still sell very well. Just having the picture of the games on the packaging will grab the attentions of potential customers
That's cool I guess, interesting number for sure but at the end of the day, it all comes down to preference. Coke has more flavors than Pepsi but some people are just gonna like Pepsi and vice versa.
@Kribwalker
I still preordered it, but I completely agree. I think if they made an official Halo Xbox Elite controller they wouldn't be able to keep it on the shelves. I'm still looking forward to picking up this bad boy though. I got the green one. It looks more unique than the Gray and blue version in my opinion.
It will be interesting to see Microsoft investing in more first party titles. They're a very rich company and can surely invest, it just comes down to them being willing to take more risk with new IP's from this point on.
I would think Phil Spencer and the rest of the Xbox division are fully aware of the stigma they have of releasing a new Halo and Forza every year and are looking to diversify their holiday lineups.
As of now, it's hard to argue t...
I'm really excited for the new U/I update, it seems to be fixing the major issues with speed and ease of use. Definitely looks a lot more streamlined as well.
The only issue I have is that from what I read previously, you can only use Cortana with the Kinect. I have the feeling this is a ploy by Microsoft to further push their product onto us which I completely understand, but I think it would be much easier and cooler to be able to just use a headset to speak to Cortana....
Regardless if you personally feel as if you would never use this feature, the fact remains that backwards compatibility was the most requested feature from Xbox One gamers. So, even if you don't think it is an important feature to have, it still shows Microsoft and the Xbox division are dedicated to listening and responding to the demands of its user base.
Either way you put it, the addition of BC is a great show of faith from Xbox to those who own an Xbox One. I personal...
It would be awesome if they make the older CODs backwards compatible. I'm glad Microsoft and xbox went this route. One question though, does that mean developers will re-open online servers for these old games now that they will have xbox one users playing their older games? They eventually close down servers to save money, if I'm not mistaken right?
Seeing call of duty on the Sony stage seems just...weird. Not bad, just weird. I guess that's the power of marketing, I'll always think of xbox when I see this game, just as I think of Sony when I see metal gear solid.
Awesome!...I'm glad I wasn't the only one looking for a sequel to this fun game...I still reminisce about playing this as a kid, flying through maps on those crazy rocket skates. I hope they don't take the outrageous qualities out of the game, that's what made it so much fun in my opinion.
@IGiveHugs2NakedWomen
I'm pretty sure Microsoft will not port every Xbox One game over to PC. Big exclusive will most likely be exclusive to the Xbox platform, especially first person shooters due to the unfair advantage PC gamers would have with a mouse and keyboard.
I'm sure Microsoft had the mind to take into account the concern you brought up before they made this decision. They wouldn't want to take money out of their own pockets.
Good list. I'm just surprised Cuphead didn't make it. From what I've been reading it generated a lot of interest at GDC.
I doubt this is more about hardware limitations than it is about proper utilization of the hardware on both platforms. Down the road I'm sure things will get better once the developers properly code for both consoles. Especially the Xbox One in this situation, we should be long past 720p by now.
Anyway, regardless of resolution I hope the gameplay is great. It seems promising. That is the most important factor as far as I'm concerned.
Great, this should open up more opportunities for the Xbox/ Windows ecosystem to flourish even more...Can't knock more games, it should be interesting to see all the creative ideas for games that will come out of this.
Anyone think it will flood the market with less than desirable games? I welcome variety but I've always been a firm believer in Quality over quantity. I guess as long as Microsoft can strike a good balance everything should be just fine.
I still have a soft spot for Spyro the Dragon, I would be excited if that returned as a franchise.

"I'll admit that he can be immature at times. But he has tapped into the anger that alot of people are feeling. He has become a mouthpiece for folks like me."
Unchecked anger can rage out of control. Anger can be used for greatness if directed properly, but the rhetoric that comes out of Trump's mouth is outright wreckless and dangerous. Religious tests for Arabs trying to escape persecution and death, and declaring most Mexican imm...
