why is everyone so amazed with the speed in which they hacked it? They obviously already had a program written and uploaded that would exploit the safari weakness before the competition began. It's not like they started from scratch.
Also, this isn't a problem inherent to the macbook air, but the safari browser. It's why I use Firefox. Now, if they hacked it through the Air's ability to connect to another computer to use it's DVD drive, that's something else......
The new pack for Rock band is Awesome!!
Love boston. Just played it and it's the best release for rock band in a long time.
Now I can be Turk in the Airband!!!! (More than a feeling!!)
Bubbles for you. lol :)
what the heck is up with this game? how can they keep pushing it back? I can't believe they are having that many issues wrapping the game up. As much as I hate the FW update craze to "fix" games, they need to get this to market and worry about minor fixes later.
Their game has already lost some of it's hype because of the delay, they can't afford to lose any more face, or push it after the summer
wow gorgon, you totally missed my point. lol
here's what I'm saying. If you want to swap out HDD on a pc, but 1. don't plan on keeping the old one (let's assume there is only 1 place for a hdd, like the PS3) and 2. don't want to buy a new OS or whatever
what is one to do?
Obviously Copy the files first, then change said HDD. so what this guy did went against conventional logic.
The reason Sony did this was probably to deter game saves and...
Why would you even try this without first reading something about it?
very very foolish
if you swap out hdd on a pc, though, you need to somehow save the os to a new disk. And (my assumption here) if my pc had only one connection for a hdd and I wanted a bigger one in, I'd first backup or copy the files I wanted, then swap out.
He's lucky Sony chose to keep the os intact away from the hdd.
this guy just jumped in and did no research. makes it his bad.
I think it's a little of that, plus nintendo keeping quantities down.
I think they realize that if the wii is readily available, it loses its hype, an it won't sell as well if you can find it anywhere. By ensuring a limited supply, they can keep people wanting it, instead of the "i'll get one later" or whatever.
There's also the possibility that the private market is keeping supplies unjustifiably short. Possibly ebay sellers, among others, buying up what...
I read it as a sarcastic title, but I was mistaken.
I was expecting
"Always say dirogatory statements when talking, or encountering someone of a different ethnicity than you"
"If you're below the age of 18, make it known with your squeeky high voice and swear as much as possible"
"if encountering a girl gaming, first express disbelief, then insult her, all the while hoping splooging on your controller, hoping she takes notice of you&quo...
wait, so someone disagreed that I disagreed that you made a funny?
or do you not believe I didn't hit the disagree button?
i disagree that you made a funny......
but I won't hit the button for it....
lol
isn't there a difference between a hack and exploiting a glitch?
To be fair, Microsoft had the option to continue support of the original x-box, just like sony did the PS2, but chose not to. So, really, it's not like it's UNFAIR to compair all consoles sold for these corporations for the month. MS has to expect to be outsold en masse by nintendo and sony, because they choose not to be in the handheld market, or support last gen.
I think that's what they're going for, but they're going to need to do more than just lower price. Casual gamers are looking for more than just a cheap console, they're looking for cheap games (pun intended)
Look at the top sellers for the wii. Those are the type of games you need to focus on to get the casual gamer. Even sony has some/ is getting some that will appeal to a more casual market. Of all the systems, MS seems stuck with this "niche" and until it promote...
Even though Mr. Cohen has seen the review (and thinks it was funny which says a lot), I highly doubt it was just Yahtzee's review that brought about this change. Mr. Cohen clearly states that after the patches, they hope the game will be re-reviewed, not just by ZP, but by other reviewers. That seems to point to Yahtzee's complaints not being alone.
He is one funny M-Fer. And his reviews are usually spot on.
Why would Sega release the domain name of the Dreamcast? It doesn't take much to hold on to it, and they would protect themselves from this.
However, I would love to see them take some notice of the attention this got, and maybe consider a new console. lol. I loved my genesis and even my Saturn.
What's really sad about this whole thing is that the media jumps all over this initially and spread the word nice and loud. Then when new evidence comes out that maybe it had NOTHING to do with videogames, they feel a small article, or an aside should suffice.
If they are going to make a big deal about it the first time through, they should make it a big deal for new details that contradict their original story.
I don't quite get this article.....
All it does is say
"PS3 is sorta like the saturn, but not quite"
"360 has some similarities to the saturn, but there are differences"
and
"the Wii is selling well, but I don't like it"
Then it concludes saying it was written at the end of 2007, and there are no games for the PS3, and that that still holds true now?
How stupid. This guy would have been better off us...
Love how all you x-bots are condemning Home and saying it will be worse without any knowledge of it.
Also, this mother refuses to now let her children play on Live because of this? Overreact much?
"She now fears for the safety of her children"?
I'm sure she has no problem with them hearing the profanity on Live. I also find it funny that the article says they were "subjected" to the photos, as if they had no control over seeing ...
As a 'Burgher, I give you bubbles :)
