if you'd actually read the article he says the tech is similar to Blu-ray, using TECHNIQUES learned from DVD. He never said it was dvd based. And where in the world did you bring HD-DVD from? sounds like you're upset you chose the wrong format.

All kidding aside, I'm not a RPG fan so this doesn't affect me at all. Truthfully, right now that's probably the only genre that will need more than 1 dvd
I bet that if there was a way they could CHARGE for these features (a la map pack add-ons) they would Generously update for them.
I'm right there in agreement with the GHIII songs. I'm actually very suprised at their pricing, becuase they have pretty direct competition with rock band.
Because of GH's choice of add-on songs, their price, and rock band's choice of songs and price, all my extra money has been going to Rock Band.
so, microsoft, if you're going to leave the status quo with most other things (including leaving on server for Redownload if bought before delisting), why even delist at all? just leave it up, or better yet, isolate these games, but still make them accessible.
M$ needs to understand that the world is not black and white, there are shades of gray. Instead of going forward with this no tolerance BS, they need to do some research, and actually put some THOUGHT into their actions. Maybe then they can decide logically if a ban is JUSTIFIABLE.

1. People had large VHS collections, and then were told to switch. It happened. The difference here is that Blu-Ray is backward compatable with DVD. That is probably 1 area that is slowing growth of Blu-ray sales. Why buy a blu-ray of a movie I have on DVD, when my player will upconvert and play it?
2. This will not change overnight. It will take a period of years for DVDs to be phased out in favor of blu-ray. This is evident in every other physical media change. Records ...

But what I'm saying is the intentionally missed LAST thursday's update to prepare. So, I was expecting (and I'm not alone) SOME content once the new design was up.
And as far as the "would MS do that?" no, probably not. But what they would probably do is an update as seamlessly as possible, without missing a beat. But what do I know, i don't own a 360.
I, for one, am upset that there is STILL no new content. I was under the impression that there would be new content (including COD4 maps) when the new store was up, and another update Thurs. I'm actually very annoyed that they didn't update last week to prepare, and no update once it's up and running. Thursday better have a hell of a lot of stuff.........
But overall I like the new design ;)

the 360 is a good console. Probably deserves to be on the list SOME DAY. but let it get a little older before you put it on the top of the mountain, 'm-kay cupcake?
this list is a LOT better than the last "best 10 gaming consoles" that rolled through here. Remember that one? The one that put 360 #1? yah, I know you do.
I'd make PS2 #1, and move Genesis up. It's the console that made Gaming ok and kool for an older audience.
