lol, ok I'M not knocking MS for it. But in this case I think they are in the wrong
Way to support small companies/business.
Microsoft's plan not only helps earn them a profit, but helps stifle creativity. As a gamer, you should probably be against both of those.
Videogames are in a strange dynamic, where they need innovation and creativity in order to sell, but they also rely on profit in order to stay in business.
If this creator would want to opt for giving something away for free, in order to grow his fanbase and supporters, he s...
"Sony charges for clothes in HOME" "Sony charges for LBP costumes"
No one is knocking Microsoft for charging for themes, or add-ons, or anything like that.
The DIFFERENCE is that the creator of the theme WANTS it to be free, and MS is saying no. The creator should be able to distribute whatever content it likes, for whatever price he wants.
Sony is very supportive of things of that nature. LBP has given out free costumes. Creat...
While I understand the argument that this article is trying to make, I think that the answer is a little more simplistic than what they are making it out to be.
I think, in general, the console that comes out first needs less reliance on exclusives. The reason for this is that the console released second (or third) needs to give people (esp the gamers that have already bought a console) the reason to buy the newer console, even though it's usually more expensive, with less game ...

if you really think that p2p means you are connecting straight to another person, without going through some server somewhere, you need to learn more about the interweb tubuals.
What about the $499 160Gb system? Comes with Uncharted ($60) and Download of Pain.
The difference in the games being offered by Microsoft and Sony, is that Sony bundles with games like MGS4, and Uncharted. (2 of their heavy hitters) Microsoft bundles with games like Lego indiana jones and kung fu panda (really? i don't know ANYONE that even saw that movie, including my 9 year old cousin)
Also, for both PS3 consoles, you can make as many accounts as you want, all for NO...
If you drop PC gaming and just go consoles and handhelds......
X360 = 18
PS3 = 17
Wii = 7
DS = 4
PSP = 2
PS2 = 2
If you drop handheld and PC, and just go consoles......
PS3 = 21
X360 = 20
Wii = 7
PS2 = 2
So what does it all mean? PS3 and the 360 are the places for games.
didn't sound a thing like it to me.....
it's maybe the same chords/notes, but it's not the same. not at all
I completely agree fishy, and bubbles to you for saying so.
Captain Tuttle, while it may be true that PS3 fans are "dominating" the site, you have to look at the big picture. Go back to June of '07 and try to remember the 360 fans comments and even the "articles" that popped up then. EVERYTHING seemed to be anti-PS3, whether it was Blu-Ray vs. HD-DVD, No Games, or High Price Point.
The bottom line is this, it does come from every side, and usu...
I just picked up my copy of the collector's edition tonight. Haven't gotten to play the campaign yet. But here's what I'm already missing...
Had my buddies over, and apparently you can't play 4 player co-op offline. only 2 at a time :o( bummer.
Also, can't play 2 player campaign as in the first game....
And worse of all......
I can't have my buddies over and play offline deathmatch.

imagine if they decided to use this technology in blu-ray, as opposed to regular DVD.
they have windows for apple now. you're not locked into a proprietary system since apple went power pc with ibm. (i think that's the case)
Honestly, M$ would be better to distance themselves from PC, and push that they are a software company, and they have the best OS, for PC, or mac.
They're losing the argument, so they need to change the discussion
First off:
I'm glad you give society credit. This is the same society that makes American Idol a hit TV show year after year.
Secondly:
Yes, I'm kidding. And if you don't understand that, you need a lesson in humour. Do yourself a favor and watch some standup. Here's some good ones:
Bill Cosby
George Carlin
Carlos Mencia
Bill Burr
Chris Rock
Katt Williams
and the Blue Collar Comedy Tour

Here's why people care.....
he has 139,000 subscribers on youtube
his last video on youtube got over 200,000 views
his youtube channel has almost 9 million views
his most viewed video on youtube has over 39 million views
he has a broad influence and many fans, and many viewers hearing what he has to say.
We care because whenever he says something stupid (every time he opens his mouth) he makes everyone dumber for having heard him.

i disagree...
I don't believe when a game comes out means NEAR as much as which games are on which platform.
Plus, let's face it, a developer will want to maximize profit from and exposure to their games. So I believe most devs won't agree to a timed exclusivity longer than a few months. holiday games they certainly won't delay past the holidays for one console over another.
M$ would be better served to take the money they are spending for timed excl...
I really do not understand your argument here. Are you honestly saying that new IPs aren't important? Every title you mention was, at one time, a new IP.
Maybe you're trying to say that these unknown, unproven titles don't drive console sales? That, I would argue is hard to quantify. We'll know more about that after LBP.
You want to know, honestly, where the future consumer is going to look? The conversation will go like this:
Consumer: "S...
when jenny dies in the darkness.....
I would laugh so hard at SE if the 360 was dead by then in favor of the NeXt-Box.
