I can't finish reading an article that starts with blatantly false information. "With digital distribution now the norm" is the first thing you read, and is so incorrect its laughable. If they make better points in the article I will never know, because they started with a flat out lie and how can you trust anything else they say.
Good use of your one bubble...
I think its fair to remember though that DMC 4 was riding the success of DMC 3 and was the first entry on the current generation. It was also an early release when there was much less competition on the market.
Resident Evil 5 sold well because it rode RE 4s success. 6 did less than expected because 5 was a letdown to a lot of fans.
I also think its fair to point out that DMC 4 was a letdown to a lot of fans as well and we are seeing that translated to poor...
Wow the most annoying voice and narrating I have ever heard in a "professional" review. You get paid to do this? Wow.
I really liked the game a lot. I reviewed in and gave it a 9/10.
I think the review number system in general has been severely skewed by magazines like Game Informer. At GI if you get a 7 the game is ok, and 6 is unplayable and not worth buying. What kind of High School grading system is that?
If you use 1 is the worst game you ever played, and 10 is the best I could see DmC being a 6 or 7 on that scale, which is very good! A 5 would be not bad, just no...
I loved playing it for a few months last year, but the hacking/cheating is so far out of hand right now. They need to make sure they handle that first and foremost. I am excited for this big time though!
RUMOR: Sony fans will like the PS4 and MS fans will like the Xbox Next.
Followup Rumor: They will both trash each other with rumors that don't mean dick until the systems actually release.
I own a game store, and am often asked what my favorite game of all time is. Like most of you I am sure it is a hard question to answer.
After pondering I think I have settled and it is Castlevania Symphony of the Night. I have finished this game at least 10 times, found every item, every secret, every glitch, and loved every second of it.
Amazing look, music, and gameplay. Love it!
What exactly is your definition of dead or retired? They stopped manufacturing consoles. If you mean that no more games are coming out that could be another year or two in Japan.
As far as terminology retro has an incredibly loose meaning and who cares why someone calls it what they want.
I'm pretty sure that translates to "MURICA!"
I heard the Wii U died already. PS3 was the worst and Every Xbox ever made broke.
Crash got milked very hard, and then thrown away. Its about time for a reboot if they get back to what made the game fun in the first place. It was a different type of platformer not just another 3D clone.
The one thing a lot of people are missing is that if GameStop doesn't make money off used games, they will close stores and lose money. If they didn't push preorders so heavy these developers wouldn't get half the number sold on day 1.
I worked at GS a long time, and have no love for them believe me, but taking them out of the equation will hurt new games sales a lot.
There was a really interesting article I read that said the reason why X-Men Destiny was such garbage was because they were taking activisions funding and having the team work on a tech demo for ED2.
After SK lost the lawsuit to Epic Nintendo cut funding to a secret project to them that was rumored to be ED2.
Most of the original SK guys that worked on ED are no longer there and were not even there while they constructed the demo. The thought is great but we...
I am not going to say piracy is good. It IS stealing and people who act like because you probably won't get caught makes it ok. It is not.
However my main argument has and will always be, that if you make a good product people will buy it. You will be successful if you run a good company, treat your people well, and make a quality product.
I don't mind people being worried about piracy and I understand how you could feel cheated because someone...
If you expected the Walking Dead game to be an open world survival game that's your fault. Telltale doesn't make games like that and honestly the WD game was brilliant. Just because it's not open world doesn't mean it sucks.
DOOOOOOM. Good god it spreads like a virus. Console to console now to individual games. Wow people are really dumb. This shouldn't surprise me though as yesterday I watched someone trip over a wet floor sign.
It's too bad you didn't enjoy it as much as you did the rest of the series. Just remember GI is an opinion piece, and its opinion is that ME3 was game of the year.
I often equate the ending of ME3 to the ending of the TV show Lost. (No Spoilers) They left the ending open for interpretation because they knew they could never please everyone. What they did was leave it very foggy and let the viewer decide what happened.
You may not agree with the ...
Let me check my crystal ball. Hmmm. Interesting. I'm getting too much interference from my tinfoil hat.
I stopped reading when you said you loved games like "River City Rampage" Retro City Rampage is the name, but hey you loved it so much you probably already knew that.
