Sadly its society in general. Its not just games but sports, politics, you name it. I would blame the 24 hour news cycle and the monetizing of ad revenue on the internet. Everyone needs hits and are more than happy to push a rumor as true as long as people go the their site. Since the internet is becoming (if not already) the largest source for "news" for most people misinformation is everywhere.

I'm not sure what is worse, the fact that MS might have a fee on used games, or that they have no idea who to let speak about what anymore. Xbox support says no fees, but PHIL HARRISON (He is kinda a big deal in Xbox Land) said it would! What a huge bungle this reveal was.
I agree, and this makes no sense! So you take the worlds largest used game dealer and let them do used games? So its not about the developers then? You only want to shut out the small shops? This makes me crazy to think about.

I hope it is. I hope the Xbox does very well. When big companies compete the consumer wins. I am a fan of good games no matter the platform (Console, PC, etc) and having a strong market is much better than one company dominating.

I was just saying that I think they should market it as the best damn game console they can. You are right the expectation now is that all of these devices do it. Again I think the advertising should mention these things, but focus on gaming.

I think its incorrect to FOCUS on it. A device that does many things is great but I really think it needs to be sold as a video game console first.

I respectfully disagree. The reason the AKI n64 games were so good was because of consistency. There was a fighting engine that rivaled the balance of any fighting game. The new games have sloppy controls and even worse physics. The N64 AKI grapplers had tight controls and the game worked as it was supposed to EVERY TIME.
Mastered? No. Have they made a lot of quality games across a large number of genres? Yes.
