Don't like the 3-D where you need glasses to view it. They are doing some kind of deal with LG to produce TV's that don't require glasses. Either way I hate the idea of 3-D and wont support it, even though I prefer XBox and Microsoft I wont be supporting their 3-D either. I was kind of glad they aren't all out committed to it like Sony seems to be.
As for the redesign supporting Blu Ray, no way. It wont happen. Because then they would make games on Blu Ray dis...
Not a fan, not sure why companies are wasting time trying to add this gimmick to games. It is just taking up time in development and that means delays. I mean most people would have rather had GT5 come out sooner, rather then waiting all this time for it to be coded with 3-D that less then 1% of the population can actually use.
Still they could get away with that price with a console. I still think we'll see a $250 Natal/redesigned 360 bundle. Getting new hardware into people's homes is difficult so I don't see that being the actual price. It would be nearly $400 for a new gamer to get a 360 and that. I doubt this one people.
Someone has there own slim, redesign console and probably a lower price point :)
Kiss any chance of the PS3 catching up to the 360 goodbye.
This redesign will draw in new 360 owners and older ones alike. I mean it's gonna be huge this holiday season. Cant wait. In all seriousness, Microsoft laid the smackdown.
"Kinect's built-in camera and microphone (due later this year, no price set) uses facial and voice recognition to let you, for instance, log onto Xbox Live, start games and pause movies. And a new menu lets you choose games or services such as Netflix by simply reaching out and pointing toward the screen selection. Video chat lets Xbox 360 homes connect; the smart camera widens when another person enters the room.
Microsoft's Marc Whitten credits Nintendo with se...
If the slim we seen in the other article is any indication then Microsoft should do very well with it. Even hardcore PS3 fans were for the most part interested. A lot of current 360 owner, myself included were also talking about buying the redesign as well. So I think if the slim takes off and get's numbers like the PS3 slim did last year, then we are at least two years from seeing or hearing anything about it at E3. If it fails, then next year we will see something on the next Xbox.
Plus a plausible name for Natal "Kinect". It's hard to tell from that picture but it does look slimmer. I like the new slogan and the Re-brand so far as well.
To those worrying about Red Ring, that isn't an issue with newer 360's. It's just the fear people have with the early failure rates. This slim is going to cost less, because the parts are cheaper now. Why would someone think a slimmer, more cost effective model would cost more? This is probably going to...
I know it's 95% Sony fanboys trying to hate and speculate. To mask the fact that they are actually worried. Worried over gaming consoles. I mean really. Not really a point to it but Sony fans tend to not make much in the way of sense.
Microsoft is in the best position. They get to make the first show. They have the biggest stage and media outlets and are prime to make some huge announcements. I wouldn't doubt a Portable Xbox, we know Slim Xbox 360 and price cut. Natal and all ...
Eminem and Black Eyed Pee's? it doesn't get much worse then those two. Can someone say Boycott? Sheesh..terrible.
It was in development before the PS3 even released. This one is the same. Same engine, same Dev kit (360). They cant up and change and remake all that code that fast for a sequel. They refine it a bit and add to it, but it would take 3, 4 years to do it all from scratch or switch dev kits.
It looks good though.
*Edit* I never said it was better on the 360, just said it was the lead console, though I heard it had control issues on the PS3 version and some framrate issues...
Lets see
I'll be pro Microsoft here per usual.
1.Metal Gear Solid
2.Gears of War 4
3.Halo Reach 1.5
4.Left 4 Dead 3 and 3.5
5.KOTOR 3
Doesn't make it legit, makes it wishful thinking. Sony won't have a lot of surprises because they are pushing 3D and the BILLIONS they invested in it and they are pushing Move. I seriously doubt they give you kids a "Shocker" and if they announced an Uncharted 3, I mean...
We all know it cant touch Sony though, they are our new lords and masters.(sarcasm) I find it funny that people making idiotic pro Sony comments get agreed with, no matter how idiotic they are. While people making pro Xbox 360 comments get disagreed with, no matter how much they might make sense.
I like the graphics and I'm guessing it's a wii resort type of game. That "Red ball" game might just be a tech demo and people are treating it like it's going t...
That was the best one IMHO. That was the same E3 they said "Were certainly not interested in Gimmicks" and pretty much bashed Nintendo for using motion controls. I kind of felt sorry for them, I was an avid Sony supporter until the PS3 to be honest. I had a PS1 and PS2 and loved them both, there is a huge reason they went from selling 140+ million consoles to less then 35 million and It's kind of sad to see a company go from first to last, but they lost there way somewhere along...
All the stops! They are pulling a Ali, float like a butterfly and sting like a Bee.
With all the press we are certainly going to see them come out swinging.
-Natal name and price
-Natal games for release
-Future Natal games-Hardcore and Party
-Slim Xbox 360 and price cut
-Slim Xbox 360/Natal bundle
-Xbox Portable
-Xbox portable games
(To those saying MS wouldn't do this now, actually it's the best time because the...
without being paid by them right? Fanboys look for any excuse. I got news for you, the people who were privileged to use Natal behind closed doors, the stars and people like that were not paid in any way. Geoff Keighley has been in the industry a long time and is not paid by Microsoft.
Believe it or not there is more going on at E3 then Sony, KZ3, 3-D and Move. Despite what Sony might have you believe. People in general are interested in what the other companies are offering up. Pers...
The titles you mentioned don't really appeal to me. If you were a Sony fan then all your excitement probably did go a bit, since they released their list of games before E3. To free up room to pitch 3-D and Move. As a Microsoft fan and somewhat a Nintendo fan, I think we have plenty to get excited about. A slim 360, maybe Xbox portable, Halo Reach, Gears 3, Fable 3, Natal price, name, games. Price cuts.
Personally I probably wont watch the Sony conference because I know what they...
I want to be surprised at E3. I can understand a bit of jealousy from other company fanboys who already had most of their items announced and will be forced to listen to 3-D pitches and Move pitches.
I am happy with Microsoft for the way they are doing their E3 this year. With all the press they have rented and media they have bought, I am expecting them to announce some big things. It's going to be huge. Slim 360, price cuts, Natal price, games and I'm gonna guess Portable Xb...
I would say any second hand electronics are something to be careful about. I've bought a Used PS3 that YLOD within a month.
My Xbox 360 I did buy used in 2006 for $120 and still had the warranty and everything. It till works fine, no issues.
I would be VERY careful with cheap Xbox 360's now though, Microsoft bans Modded 360's and they can never go back online. One of the many things I love about MS is they get rid of the cheaters and hackers and modders quickly. T...
Performing at a Gaming expo. Even more reason to hate Activision.
I like Kinect better then Wave or Natal. It seems friendlier.
We knew these motion controls were aimed mostly at casual gamers. So it's not a surprise really. I know we still will see cool hardcore games as well, but I like the other applications it offers as well.
