Nothing surprising here honestly. Kinect is new and something never seen before, so naturally people are interested. The Slim Xbox 360 quells the RROD fears while adding the best Wireless available and a 250 gig HDD standard, also a headset.
Move is Wii HD, but lacks the Nintendo 1st party appeal. Who didn't see this coming?
horrid way the current in game chat sounds? No offense but if the cross party chat is just a bunch of people sounding like the Burger King Drive through guy then I'll pass. The Voice chat servers are severely lacking IMHO.
Let's not forget, were still waiting for the "Final version of Home". So I wont hold my breath on this voice chat stuff. Maybe if Sony gave away Headsets to people, the chat would be better? I don't know but the way it is now, you have people w...
Kinect is all over it, if it weren't for the new, sexy, slim, sleek Xbox 360 being number 1, Kinect would be number 1 on those lists. Still Kinect is a stunning number 2 in pre-orders and sales at this point. That is without a set price point as well.
Wait till the Holiday bundles hit and a 360 slim/Kinect bundle for $249 hit the shelves. Hotcakes anyone?
Booyah! Microsoft is back baby!
It's not sad really, it's business. Sony made the PS1 and PS2 accessible to everyone. Via the price and the amount of games they had. With the PS3 it just seems like overkill, like maybe that tech would have been okay for the PS4 or something, but Sony has a habit lately to push it's tech on people rather then actually pay attention or listen to what people want. Wii HD? 3-D? No and No.
The PS2 was inferior to the Xbox and even Gamecube in the graphics department,...
Always has been. Even though normal television can be harmful to your health, nothing near as bad as persistent 3-D television. Somewhere along the lines of close to 30 % of the population cant view 3-D. If your prone to migraines, wear glasses or contacts or have any eye issues 3-D is the top thing to avoid.
What percentages of the population have a lazy eye? It's quite large actually, my mother actually only has one eye and wears glasses on top of that. So 3-D isn't going to...
Well a new Arcade would make it more accessible with Kinect. I can see a bundle for $250 still actually. Because if the Arcade is $150 and Kinect is $150 then they knock $50 off the price and you can pick it up for $250. I like the different options honestly. I know a lot of people who got into next gen gaming much sooner because of the Arcade systems. You didn't need much to get one and grab Halo 3 and your good to go for a year or more. So I'm digging the redesign. I just wish they ...
It's more publicized but after the first year models everything got a lot better. They shrunk the tech down and have a better understanding so of course were not going to have the RROD issues. I went down to Gamestop today to see if I can pre-order one, but they make you do a lottery first, then you get the right to buy one or whatever. I guess there has been a lot of people interested in this new design.
I hope it's better then the first one. The 3-D didn't matter either way to me as I'm not a fan, but it was cool that they showed the 360 can do it too, they just didn't invest Billions into a fad, they are going to see where it goes first.
Microsoft didn't mention it because there isn't really much to mention right now.
I knew Xbox 360 was capable to run it. I saw it on Gears 2 at E3 years ago on the Xbox 360. Not a big deal really as I hate the tech but it's nice to shut up some smug PS3 Fangirls.
As if there wasn't enough reasons to love the best online service around!
Kinect that is. I am sure we will see more games that will use Kinect as E3 rolls on.
I was happy with the Microsoft Conference. The 360 is still the best hardcore machine and has the best online. The largest online community and the gardcore games last the longest on the Xbox 360. So I mean I plan on Playing Halo Reach for a long time, I will play through Fable 3 and Crackdown 2 etc.. then Next year, early on we get Gears of War 3. So I am glad we aren't going to get blitzed with 100 different hardcore games. Honestly, I had to already wait on getting some games earlier t...
Especially at Gamestop here in Central Florida, they are already setting up Lottery systems for people. There is too much high demand.
I loved the conference and absolutely love the look of the new Xbox 360. I am glad Microsoft is in the fight to win it and the redesign is proving just that.
It's gonna be hard getting the new Xbox 360 slim though, Gamestop is doing a lottery type deal. I guess the phones are busy, I had to actually go stand in line and wait to put my money down. I got my hardcore fix with Halo Reach, Fable 3, Gears Of War 3 and Black Ops and I got some nice Kinect surprises, I love the voice functions and controller free handling. That thing tracks movements better then anything I've ever seen. no lag whatsoever.
great show and to top it off, Xbox...
It's gonna sell well and I cant wait for the 4 player CO-op. Microsoft has been doing the co-op games the best for a while now. I got my hardcore gamer fix with Gears 3, Halo Reach, Fable 3 and COD Black ops, cause let's face it, COD games are always better on Xbox 360. The community, the number of players, exclusive content. Just amazing. Gears of War was the reason I bought an Xbox 360 in the first place and Gears 3 is the reason I'm getting the new Xbox 360 slim!
They have had such a response to the new Xbox 360 slim, they have to run a lottery to see who gets the chance to get the first wave of Xbox 360 slims. So kiss any chance of Sony catching MS this generation goodbye. Last place looks good on those guys though.
I enjoyed the conference from start to finish, I haven't been disappointed in the least. Great job!
They are so angry, means Microsoft had a great show!
Yo PS3 Fangirls, feel free to call up your local gamestore and see how many people are pre-ordering the new, sexy Xbox 360 slim! I had to actually go down and pay money to reserve mine, because they are taking lottery style tickets to see who get's there's.
MS just ended any hopes by Sony of Sony fans of catching the 360 this generation!
No matter the games Sony shows tomorrow, Sony games just don't se...
I run a gaming clan Mercenaries Of Honor. I watched it stream live with a good amount of my members and we were all blown away by it. We would watch in one window and chat in our chatbox in another window. It started off Great, Metal Gear Solid Rising looks amazing. COD Black ops looks tight and I'm glad we get map packs first. Gears 3 blew my mind, at that point I said pack it in, it's a wrap. Then the Halo 3 stuff hit and the space battles were jaw dropping. The new Ip from Crytek l...
So 250 is more then enough IMHO. I never traded out HDD on PS3 or 360. I have a 80 gig Backwards compatible PS3 that never went above 12 gigs. So this is fine with me.
It's sleek, sexy and quiet. No chance of a RROD or anything. Built in wireless, 250 gig HDD standard, headset. How can you not get it? Most people I know are taking advantage of the Gamestop or Play n Trade deals where you trade in your old one.
The problem is actually getting one, I had to win a Gamestop Lottery in order to get mine.
See this new Xbox 360 slim is an actual upgrade, you get an upgraded HDD, Wireless N and it's quieter and more energy efficient, while t...
