Nice. Definitely going on the Gamefly queue.
Maybe this will open up the Wii to more mature games.
Because some people refuse to think for themselves.
For example: Viking got middling reviews, but I picked it up (used) based on positive word-of-mouth from friends and forums.
I thoroughly enjoyed it. Very solid hack n' slash.
And if I had listened only to the reviewers, I never would have touched it.
We're talking respectability on a quantum scale, here.
Clever bit of promotional marketing.
Sorry to contribute to the flaming, but I had to post this:

Ninja Gaiden 2 broke one million copies sold just two months after release.
But again, has anyone actually PLAYED Ninja Blade?
Hard to compare games when you haven't played one of them.
As for reviews, there's only one review posted at Metacritic so far: 80% from MS Xbox World. Hardly enough for comparison or judgment.
Indeed, gamersden (nas!m?), you're calling GOW3 the pinnacle of gaming this gen...and it, like Ninja Blade, isn't even out yet. GOW3 is not playable, reviewable, or even has a confirmed release date. No doubt it w...
Have you played Ninja Blade for comparison?
Toss in Pikmin, Mad World, the Conduit, and (maybe) Kid Icarus, and Nintendo's got a pretty solid lineup in 2009.
The horror...the horror...
Exactly.
We have no idea what kind of unannounced titles MS or Nintendo has up their sleeves for 2009; hell, even Sony, in spite of their good '09 lineup, may still have something big to announce (Team ICO, anyone?).
Wait and see, folks, before passing judgment.
And 81% DO.
Which number do you think Konami will look at?
I would welcome more variety in the Halo series, as long as they don't milk it to the point of ridiculousness, a la Sonic.
Give me a Halo RPG/MMO...
...and the oft-rumored Halo Lego...
...plus more FPS greatness...
...and I'll be happy.
From the article:
"But after the mediocre reception of Gears 2..."
Over 2.3 million sold before the end of 2008: http://www.shacknews.com/on...
Mediocre, my @ss. Article FAILS.
While I don't mind paying $50/year for Live, I wouldn't turn down a price drop.
*crosses fingers*
One BILLION Halo 3 matches...
Over 25 million copies sold in the franchise (not counting Halo Wars)...
Half a dozen NYT best-selling novels...
Instant name recognition among gamers...
Sounds more like someone's SITE is in trouble, and needs hits.
KZ2 has set the bar pretty high...I think it all depends on who develops H4.
But if there's one franchise that has the potential to top KZ2, it's Halo.
Quake...f******...4
'Nuff said.
You can boost the 1999 achievement in local multiplayer, but it involves leaving your system on for loooong periods of time.
And 100,000 kills is doable...just replay the first part of the Brumak level over and over and over and over and over and over...*sudden headache*
How about we wait until the end of the year? It's barely MARCH, for pity's sake.
