i tried a lot of new types of games out in the past 2 years. ive never been a fan of action games or fps so i almost never bought them before but after playing through killzone 2 and uncharted 1 i decided that i needed to get the other games in the series, even went back to ps2 and played through killzone1 and ended up buying killzone 3 on day 1, still have it today. will probably end up buying u3 day one also.

i didnt notice any lag while i was playing. at first i couldnt get into any games though lol. was pretty fun, i liked the co op against the ai, was really fun ended up adding two others to my friends list and we stomped through a few games :)

i do think uncharted is more realistic, at least the character interactions.
have you played uncharted? the single player campaign lasts for around 15 hours and 2 comes with multiplayer, a pretty wide range of different multiplayer things.

nintendo expected 4 million sales in the first month on the market. were not at like 6 months on the market and they still havnt passed 3 million sales.

lots of remastered games staying as playstation exclusives are likely because publishers dont want to spend money porting to xbox. porting to ps3 is probably a lot easier for them
if you want to read more...most multiplatform games (probably all) have a sort of middleware that they code for so they dont have to code two separate games for opengl(ps3)/directx(x360). most ps2 exclusives were probably just coded without this type of middleware so porting from one of sonys device...

i doubt that console gamers will be forced out of the market. a lot of companies make a lot of money from the games market. microsoft (not only with xbox, but their windows platform also), nvidia, amd, ibm, not to mention the people who directly profit from these sales like sony, nintendo, ea, activision/blizzard.

ocarina was a good game, still is a good game, and i still have it. if i want to play it i see no reason to buy it again. mercenaries is uh... a minigame? a minigame that i already have on gamecube and ps3... while i havnt played the 3ds streetfighter, im gonna assume that its pretty much the same thing as the other 500 versions of street fighter. nintendogs (+ cats?) is dumb, nothing else ...
gamestop employees cant rent games that are new, only used.
since they wont have any used copies, i doubt that theyre going to be renting them
i wonder if this will have an impact on game sales. i would assume that gamefly buys a lot of copies of games, and without them i wonder what the sales will be. i also wonder if gamestop telling people buying it that they cant return/trade it in makes people think twice about buying it
