Dammit, so anyone that wants to play MMO Beta, but not the actual Mmo game is screwed!!!
This title is a bit misleading. If anything this should be seen as a commitment to the Xbox brand. MS is rumored to be doing it's largest layoff since 2009 of 5-10% of the company, and all the rumors point towards the majority of those being cut from Nokia because since acquiring them the have several "overlapping positions". So sure it's to save money, but it's more like trimming fat, not saving a sinking ship.

I'm ready for this game, I hope they do like they said and go back to the original Crackdown style...not sure what they were thinking with the second one...the mechanics and everything still worked great, but they didn't need to introduce "the flood" to that game...just keep it gangsters and stuff. If everything for this game pans out the way it seem/I hope, then I see myself playing the crap out of this game.
Yes, if anything it seems that he's proving he is committed to Xbox. This article said absolutely nothing in all honesty. It just says they aren't using it because it takes too much time. It doesn't say if it's cause they don't need the extra optimization and won't bother, and/or DX12 releases too close to their release date and don't want to delay the game to use it.
Can we please stop judging DX12 by indie games in the middle of development already? ...can we not see the obvious issues with doing that? How about we...

I don't see a single person arguing that X1 is more powerful than PS4, I think everyone has accepted that...where the argument come in is does it make enough of a difference in the final product...THAT is where the "debates" start.
The same thing can go the other way. In a technical sense XBL is much bigger and better than PSN, however, if the benefits of XBL don't speak to someone more than their preferences for PS4, then they will stick with PS4 and PSN. ...
Good point....what if this just means they filled the position...the amount of people they would trust with this kind of position is probably already a really short list anyway....they might not have even needed the posting in the first place.
Can we let this go already? Sure there are some squeeky Xbox fans about this...but they are BY FAR not the majority. It seems like its non-Xbox fans that are making the bigger deal about this....I mean its just DLC....who really cares??? Its not even permanently exclusive...either you'll get it in a year...or get burnt out on the game by then and the extra map and 30 min mission won't matter at all. Drama

No. There is nothing to worry about from a great developer making a great game (potentially...havent played the final build yet obviously)
Well, I don't know if I can say that they have lost their appeal, but they definitely aren't as exclusive as they used to be. I remember when it actually took something to be part of a BETA...now it's just a PR way of saying demo. Very rarely are they used to make major changes to games anymore...almost no one reports bugs...it DOES give them a better idea of network issues and loads...but there are still "real" betas going on that actually do things.

I'm definitely ready for this game....used my two beta codes yesterday...will be jumping on the X1 and PS4 betas, it'll be fun...the game looks great.
@GamersHaven what kind of trolling attempt is that? Despite being a compressed gif, it still looks identical to the Alpha footage we have seen, you're trying way too hard.
They both look great, it's actually a rather close call...but when you realize that FH2 is an openworld racer with 200+ cars, seamless online play, voice controled GPS, tune-able cars, drive-atars, and weather effects at launch...it becomes much less of a comparison. It's clear that DC is aiming for just a more straight-forward racer, where as FH2 has much more going on. It's not quite the straight forward comparison one might think.
I typically don't get special editions anymore, they are generally filled with things I don't really care about. Posters/Statues/Soundtracks Etc...this one seems to be along those lines, I think I'll stick with my standard copy that I have preordered....that'll be fine for me.
This isn't actually a new thing. MS said that it could be used to stream games since before the console game out. They are just looking into if it's a good idea or not.

There is seriously no difference at all, but like it has been stated several times, this is comparing a pre-rendered scene to a pre-rendered scene...so it'll be best to wait till actual gameplay video emerges...the big difference should be the 60fps
