Both owe each other for being competitive...so this statement is SOMEWHAT true...but not to the degree implied here. If XBL wasn't a better network and giving away free games first (albeit not as good of free games) then Sony would have no desire to give away free games to begin with. Competition drives them both, please stop looking at it so one sided...these things always happen both ways.

The ONLY time it matters this gen is when one fanboy can say to another fanboy that "hey my opinion is this many number better" True, this "argument" has been around for a while, but this gen it seems to make less of a difference than ever, but it's being beaten to death more than ever...but it's ALWAYS been stupid. True some of the numbers may be bigger, but the end result doesn't vary that greatly. It's kinda like we are hitting a zero point now... sor...
I honestly hope not, its actually a great tech and I wish people would give it more of a chance before dismissing it. I love it, and I'm glad I have one..and I hardly ever game with it. Plus I see it being important if/when the release VR/AR tech.

No they didn't. I love my Kinect (it's awesome for navigation and such), but it's well documented that not everyone does. I believe that MS had plans in place that take advantage of it (like always online), but fans don't want it, and ultimately this is a business, and in order to stay competitive they have to do what fans want (to an extent...i.e. they can't give their product away for free). Although I personally love the Kinect (and have gotten so used to it that I subconsciously try to use it with my PS4, PS3, 360, and Wii ...oops :) ) I understand that not everyone is in love with it (I suggest giving it a shot). So I'm glad that MS seems to be moving everything in the right direction. The updates, this, games with gold/paywall, opening new studios and IPs, and building a strong games library......
This statement isn't quite true...it's got less powerful hardware, but more potential in other areas. ...And while I love some of the exclusives that I'll be getting on PS4, IMO XB1 has the better exclusive line up (however, the last point is simply a matter of opinion).

Well, while I'm glad that MS is offering gamers choices, I'm actually very happy with my Kinect, I don't really game with it, but I like it. I understand not everyone will though, so this is good for gamers....however all the announcements that came out today were supposed to be E3 announcements. Anyone that calls Kinect a joke is just telling me they haven't used one for more than 5 minutes or even at all. It's actually pretty amazing tech, and very accurate. 99% of the time, if there is an error, it's pilot error. In no way did MS shaft early adopters. It should also be noted that they got rid of the "paywall" that so many complained about.
So MS does what millions of PS fanboys screamed for...now this whole page is just filled with PS fanboys wanting to whine about something else. There's no winning. It's a great system, and even though I don't game with it I love my Kinect and the Kinect 2.0 is worlds above the first one...it's actually pretty amazing tech. IMO un-bundling the Kinect is a bad idea, but I understand the pressure to do so I can't really complain.

Really not much more has to happen. It's already on the right track. They are releasing in more countries soon, they are heavily investing in new games and opening new studios. Looks great, and I'm gonna love this game no doubt, but I noticed that this video really shows the downgrade since the PC reveal at E3. Before I never noticed it, but in the first half of the video when it's being played on a PS4, it looks good, but the streets are rather empty, the lighting and environment is good but rather bland compared to the PC version which we see later when it switches to the XB1 buttons. PS4 may have the best resolution, but it still doesn't matter, I will get my version on XB1. I only use my PS4 for Sony exclusives...anything that requires a network connection I get on XB1, multiplats I get on XB1 because that's where I collect my achievements, and I personally like the XB1 controller and UI much more. I agree with this statement, but if MS want's to finish getting a hold of the gamer scene, they need to find a way to bridge the 1080p/60fps differential. I admit that to me, it hasn't made a huge difference yet (network, controller, and just getting all my achievements in one place bridge that gap for me), but there are many out there that it does make a difference for...so MS needs to get on even footing there. Either way, lets hope it stays competitive the whole gen so that gamer...
