Framerate, yes you can tell the difference easily side by side. That being said, if you have a solid framerate at 30 or higher, the game will still look great (true certain game types benefit more from higher framerates). Very few people will argue different frame rates being unnoticeable. Where most people differ is in regards to resolution.
I don't remember the stats exactly, but it's something like, unless your TV is 55in or bigge...
Maybe the bit we are missing is, has anyone asked if it will run at native 1080p while being 60fps? Who knows? I don't have any proof to say either way, just that most open world games of this type run at 30fps, I'm wondering what makes this one less demanding, it looks like it should be more demanding. Hopefully it's as advertised and true 1080p/60fps....just maybe we should check before getting our hopes up.
I'm not really sure it matters at this point. It's already doing very well. Take away all the gamers that don't have both XB1 and PS4, then don't have a PC, and then don't have a 360...out of those players left, the number of people that still want to play this game isn't that large if you believe everything here on N4G to be a true representation of the gamer world. Admittedly when I first saw this game, I wasn't sure what to think, then I slowly started getting into it, but after this week and actually seeing it in motion and such, it's a Definite buy for me. I looks great already regardless of whatever Res it's running at, FPS will be much more important, but as long as it's locked 30fps or better (which seems to be standard for open world games so far this gen) it'll be great. Lukas, you've said it perfectly since the beginning of this article. The problem is that you said something that can be taken as pro XB1 or taken as anit-Sony/PS4. The second group you are talking about, the bitter ones, aren't going to stop to use reason. They will only attack anything that disagrees with them.

The guy didn't say their was some secret sauce, he didn't talk bad about Sony/PS4, he just said that they would be able to squeeze more out of the XB1 and that this time around GPUs aren...
You are both right here, but Rashid, I think the point he is getting at here is more that, like he said, it's a "bit" misleading (probably not intentionally) because it may not be as beneficial to indies because of THEIR focus, not because DX12 is unobtainable to them, or too confusing, or that DX12 doesn't allow for benefits of indie games...it's simply about the focus of indie developers themselves.

That isn't actually irony that you are describing, it's hypocrisy. However, I've been around gaming for a LONG time (only been on this site for maybe a year), but I don't ever remember Xbox Fanboys making fun of insomniac at all. I'm sure it happened, but it wasn't like a huge trend or anything. Not like fanboys talking about Bungie, or now Respawn.
Not to mention this is a whole new game, it's a clean slate. It would be like judging Naughty Do...

I still credit Resident Evil as being one of the game series' that got me into gaming. ESP Resident Evil 2. I remember grabbing this game as the lights were going out at the store then going home eating pizza and playing all night on my PS2 with my friend. I admit that the series has kinda gone off what makes it awesome, but I give it extra credit because of the nostalgia for me. I kinda hope they find a way to bring it back to the roots.
Well it doesn't say why he left, but being that he left quietly, doesn't sound like there was any drama to it. Maybe it was just time to move on and try new things and he got a good offer. Honestly if his main job was to work on a new os and such for a new system...then the system releases...that's kinda like hitting a major milestone, then time to do something else. However, his expertise may help out at Blizzard if they decide to bring any of their games to XB1.
I get that both games are open world 3rd person games, but I honestly still don't get why they are being compared. It always seems more that its about trying to find comparable exclusives that it is due to similar games. I admit that I agree with the author that inFamous was a gorgeous game, and rather fun the first time through, but then it lost something for me and I didn't even go through the evil path. There's a bunch of the rumors that I want to be true. However since this is taking the PS4 side of the rumors, the one on PS4 I wanted most just got shot down....the Syphon Filter remake (hopefully the "shoot down" was just a cover up). I LOVED that game (esp the first one) when I was younger, I'd definitely pick up a new one. Maybe if nothing else this will get it on the radar again.
Well it would stand to reason that in the area of the world where PS4 is in many more countries than XB1 it would sell much better, that's just simple logic. XB1 is doing fine, and they are already making the right moves to help close the sales gap (which isn't nearly as dire as some believe it to be). It seems that this is all more about what some people WANT to justify saying. It's too early to tell what will happen this gen...it's only been 5 months...not yet 6. XB1's future actually looks rather promising. XB1's death has been greatly exaggerated.
