Nah. EA is never that forthcoming. I believe the title is what it always was, but they will talk about how great their game's progression system is and how they have learned from past mistakes, only to make the same mistakes on purpose again.

Personally, I think SotC was remade perfectly. In my opinion, remakes should be the same game with graphical, sound, and gameplay overhauls, but little more. (By gameplay overhauls I mean updated button inputs. Not a totally different genre of game. Like making a 3rd person action game a FPS, for example) Resident Evil 2 is about as much difference as I would want in remakes. It's essentially the same game with some minor story differences and an over the shoulder perspective.

Dude, Tenchu is a damn fine series that deserves a revival more than most franchises I can think of.

Uh....what are you talking about? MK11 has a lot of returning characters that were introduced in MKX. Jacqui Briggs. Cassie Cage. Devorah, Kotal Kahn, Erron Black.
With fighting games you have to try to please as many people as you can with the roster. That means always bringing some of the older characters, some brand new characters, and some returning characters introduced in previous titles.
