Star Craft 2 is fantastic.
I really don't like that they have spread out the three campaigns over such a long period of time, but the game itself is everything I wanted in a Star Craft sequel.
Same gameplay with new units and graphics. Perfect.
This is ridiculous. The article mentions several times that rape is used in games to create backstory for characters, to move the plot forward, or to justify revenge.
Those are actually all good reasons. I could see being upset about it being used for nothing more than shock value, but if it is serving a purpose, like the plot or to help build character then im sorry, but it isnt being trivialized.

I don't know, this is pretty impressive no matter how you look at it. Ocarina of Time is not a short game. Otherwise, this would have been done like 15 years ago.
I haven't seen anyone here really praising CoD as a game.
Its good for the PS4 because of its popularity, but I don't really see anyone saying that CoD is a great game.

You are right in just about everything you said, however, you can't include 3rd person shooters like Uncharted with FPS's.
At the end of the day, Uncharted is not an FPS.

Bad Company 2 was so good! It was by far better than both BF3 and 4.

And thats crazy to me. I'm not saying you are wrong in any way, keep in mind, but to me, i look at it like this:
90% of the games I will play on a console are multiplat games. That being the case, I want the console that is going to play those games the best. If that means missing out on 2-3 exclusives on the other system, then so be it. Exclusives are a small fraction of the games I will be playing.
I know i'm in the minority though.
Back then, it was common place to be able to beat games in an hour or two.
A lot of games didn't even have save functions back then.
This is 2014. A lot has happened since then. Its called progress. Is it really that surprising that people don't hold things to the same standards as they did 28 years ago?
