The reason everyone was so mad about that in MGS2 is because Raiden was no where near as cool as Snake. It wasn't necessarily that they tricked everyone, it was that they tricked everyone and then made them play a totally inferior character in every way.
Sure, Raiden became cool later when he got turned into a cyber ninja. Butin his first appearance, he was a very lame character.

The game is great. It really is one of the best MK's.
However, the netcode really holds it back. Its garbage and you'll be hard pressed to find a match online that doesn't have input lag at the very least.
Its a shame because NRS are obviously talented creators, but they refuse to put the time and money into making a fully functional online experience for some reason. MK9, Injustice, and now this.

Costumes, fatalities, and brutalities are reasonably unlockable in the game.
Sure some are DLC. But people act like there is nothing to unlock in the game. A lot of costumes arent even unlocked in the Krypt. If you beat a character's classic tower it unlocks an alt costume for them. Also, other, more rare costumes can be unlocked by completing certain tasks, like win 30 King of the Hill matches.

What was left to be done? Having a cliff hanger ending doesn't mean anything. MK9 did it too. It just helps to set up the next game. Many games do it.
But seriously, the story wasn't as good in this one as MK9 so for a lot of it i was in a party talking to friends, so i probably missed some things.

I agree to an extent. I never pay extra for content that can be unlocked in the game. It takes away from part of the fun, which is earning your weapons and gear.
But if people want to spend money on things like this, that is up to them. I'm not mad that things like this exist, although admittedly, this should be DLC content like in most games. It shouldn't be the "Deluxe Edition". That just seems like a waste.
I think its too early to take any of this as gospel.
Give it time. They might add more to this or offer other editions that would be more worthwhile.
On your console's desktop, go into settings and log out of PSN or Xbox Live. Then go open up MKX. Once you get to the main menu, go back to your dashboard while MKX is still running and log back into PSN or Xbox Live.
This is how i was able to get around this error. Until NRS fixes this glitch, this may be how we have to doit every time we want to play.
However, this is a big issue that is effecting a lot of people, so I expect NRS to have it fixed soon. ...

This game is awesome! I'm using Kung Lao and Kenshi right now. They are both a lot of fun.
Kung Lao's Tempest and Buzz Saw variations are great.
I'm still trying to figure out which Kenshi variation i like, Balanced or Possessed. Both are awesome.
