I completely disagree. Cutscene are importanting for story driven games. Some scenes can not be done ingame and have a bigger impact as a cutscene. Do you expect the camera to just zoom into a caracter's face (While you still playing) just to show the emotion on his face.
People who looking for story based games usually expect cutscenes. The other people are just looking for action, that why so many games are adding Quick-Time event.
I agree with the DMC half of the statement, but I don't see what everyone problem with ORC. It's a spin-off, like outbreak and dead aim was. RE ORC isn't taking the place of Re6, it isn't even being made by the same team.
Then there is all the whining about when are they going to announce RE6. We all know it's coming, do we really need a teaser. I rather they take all the time they need to make an awesome RE6, then to try a rush out another installment.
There was only one puzzle that I found hard and it was the puzzle near the beginning where you had to move four embelms that was on the wall. Two of the answers were in the journal, the other two I got on luck.
But anyway I spent more time dieing then solveing puzzles.
I find all "(insert random topic) is dead," articles pointless.
The tether might be the better, but my favorite power of transportation is the ice launch.

My whole take on this is
1)Fans are overreacting, 8 is good score.
2)Only idiots think a 10 mean perfect score , nothing is perfect.
3)That score might have gain Eurogamer some attention, everyone and their mother are talking about it, rather they are attacking or defending the review's OPINION.
I have to disagree with you Bleach. I don't know rather or not you been following Soul Calibur V closely but V is a whole new game compared IV. Soul Calibur 4.1 was already made and it was called Broken Destiny. V isn't a Capcom game with a ultimate/Super or Arcada stuck in front of it. They didn't just add new characters, stages, modes and rebalanced everything, they reworked the whole game play system.
Good news, 10 is my favorite Final Fantasy game. I still have my old copy and played it just a couple of months ago.
I only play normal and up. I usually play on normal first to enjoy everything, then higher to enjoy the challenge. People who play on easy aren't stupid.
I have no problem with disc swapping. In fact I'm hoping for the day we get Playstation exclusives that are so huge that they need two bluray discs.
All I will say is I agree, but expect people to read it as Graphics are not important. That's always where the argument end up. You say graphics shouldn't matter as much as Game play and then some idiot think you saying graphic don't matter at all.
The truth is graphics sell games. It doesn't matter to some people if games are getting shorter or becoming more of the same, as long as the graphics are mind blowing. Anyway I'm way more impress with games tha...

Personally I liked both 4 and 5, but they weren't the best of the series. What bug me is how people criticize 5 and think Re4 is the best thing that happen to the series, when that is were everything start going wrong. Sure it a amazing game and was well received, but
-It was already heading in a more action based direction
-No Zombies (Which seem to be everyone's complaint)
-Ammo wasn't limited
-It also didn't move the series story wis...
Another movie, another round of people moaning about why this series is still going. The real reason the series is still going is because every movie seems to make more money than the last.

Agree, I'll always prefer 3rd person over 1st person.
I pity everyone who though this game was going to be anything like the others. What I expect from the very beginning was a fast paced Hack and Slash game and that what we got. The fact that Platinum is developing it now increased has interest, but now I have to deal with the whining of people who don't understand the concept of Spin-off.
