As an artist I find the artistic integrity a sorry excuse. You can express yourself however you want when you making art for yourself but when someone is paying for your talents then they have every right to express what they don't like.
Let's face it all the bad games, movies and books can also pull the artistic integrity card.
I always laugh when people try to compare Mass effect ending to books, movie and other games. The differences between Mass Effect and other games/books/whatever else people want to pull out of their butt is that don't have choice.
Comparing them is stupid, they are straight story line. You can re watch or reread all you want to but the story line will never change.
You'll have a better time comparing it to a "create your own adventure" book,...
Personally I don't understand why everyone is throwing artistic integrity around to defend the mass effect ending. Let's face it every gaming company can pull that excuse to defend any problem in there game that we dislike with the exceptions of glitch and bugs.
From what I got from the in game journal, indoctrination mean that the reapers has planted a thought into your head and is slowly trying to take control of your mind. The victim is mostly unaware of it.
I got Mass Effect 2 pretty late, but was Zaeed always free DLC or did you have to pay for him.

I ask the same thing about watching sports. Some people just have more passion for certain things then others.

The first point is so utterly ridiculous. Did they all of a sudden forget ME1's Liara Romance or where they to busy getting excited by woman on woman action. The romances in the game are optional and you can choose to ignore the gay guy if you want to.
There are lots of reason to hate ME3, but if it because you have a choice to start a gay relationship, then you are an idiot.

People like and dislike different things, someone else opinion isn't going to change anything.
As for the whole playing games over and over, people rather buy games they familiar with than hit or miss New IP. and let's face it saying people love buying the same game over and over is little extravagant. As much as a game may resemble predecessor it is never the same.
If you don't have time, what wrong with enjoying the game when you do. Is it really so bad to spend an entire month on one game?

I finish 99% of my games. The ones I don't finish are the ones that bore me. Example: Final Fantasy 12.
Games being hard shouldn't even be an excuse anymore. Game today are made to be easy.
The series doesn't need a mascot and if ezio is the only character you like in a cast of twenty +, then I feel bad for you. I do agree that Soul calibur needs to focus on their own cast and stop bringing in guests.
Unless you are one of the player who characters have been removed the cast is almost perfect. I forget ezio is even there.
There is only no hope for people who expect the games to resemble the first few games. Do us all a favor and just ignore Re7 when it comes out and stop with the in the old days complaints.
Games are made into movies to make money, not to please fans. You can complain about how the movies are nothing like the games all you want, but the fact is if it's making money it is serving it's purpose.

Spin-offs of the series are never as good as the main entries. I'm not even surprise. I might pick it up later just because it's Resident Evil game.
