Win. Tempted to get a PSP for this one.
Overrated: For a game to average a 96-98 (depending on metacritic or gamerankings) you really must impress from a new standpoint. The city didn't feel any more alive then that of Vice City or San Andreas with the execption of knocking over shopping bags. Taking out certain things from SA were rarely mentioned by the critical reviewing media, but instead focused on the additions- which were fun additions mind you-.
Overhated: Personally, it's still a 9/10 for me ...
They have brought unlockables to a different context in avatar awards, gamer pics, and themes.
Was going to grab sooner or later. With a deal like this, it might be sooner.
*scrolls down a few pages to see another game's price drop announcement* Can't get enough of this community...
Not saying that isn't the case.
Not action, not stealth. Stealth-action, like it's described.
"Bioshock 2 felt the same and didn't keep my interest,
Same goes with KOTOR"
I assume KOTOR 2, right? If so, you must've completely ignored the story or dialouge altogether.
They showed alpha at gamescom
"but there is way more going on onscreen in KZ3 than in Rage..." This gives a complete assumption that you've played both games dude. Judging from the gameplay vids I've seen, that seems to be the case but the only parts I've seen in Rage are a driving part and some sewer level (not sure if that's the case for everyone else).
You do realize someone could disagree with you about it looking fantastic right? Not everyone likes KZ's art direction, or Halo's, or Crysis', etc. etc.. Hell, I didn't even disagree with you and I can see where ppl are coming from.
Any deal for a 360 game or 360/PC game seems to be polarizing news to them. Curious to see how they reacted to 3D Dot Game Heroes drop or MAG's deals soon after their releases.
You do realize the games you mentioned went through gameplay variations while being developed, right? Let me guess, you're giving a "free pass" that bit of info.
This is N4G we're talking about here....
on how much of your time you use going through New Mombasa, actually.
Recommned playing those games first before judging them.
Since Conviction's difficulty varied depending on the trial and error ways you took, it took me a bit longer to finish. Finish 1-2 levels completely stealth, shame you didn't have a chance to do it more often.
It might depend on strategy though. Since CoD4 had respawning enemies, it may have taken longer to get from point A to B on veteran while some may be good at popping-n-shooting on MW2 without worrying about more enemies coming from nowhere. Took me about 30 more mins. to beat MW2 than MW1.
"CoD2 was the best CoD, hands down" I agree. Yes, it was 8 player max. on the 360. I'm not exactly sure what their reasoning was, but I think it came down to the map design. I know PC has bigger-sized games when it came down to this, whether the PC maps are different or something like that is beyond me.
The last-gen console iterations were handled by another dev. and were basically a spin-off. I believe the sub-name was Big Red One.
Pretty much everything was awesome in Jedi Outcast I+II :D.
