lol that made me scratch my head as well. While Reach is more than worthy of a 10, finding no cons in a games means you're just not looking hard enough.
Did you find it to be shorter/longer than Halo 3? About the same time?
Being really good games to the reviewer, maybe? Try to looking more towards overall library of this year then make a debate.
That case is true when it comes to gfx but not everything else. I've seen PC mags give Crysis 97+ even though it was brought down on metacritic by average reviews.
360 and PS3 reviews use many more Xbox/PS branded websites+mags for their overall metacritic score.
Putting a lid on an interesting story like KOTOR is needed. Even Bioware said TOR doesn't really eliminate the possibility of KOTOR 3.

You're not listing all the possible reasons either. You can dig deeper and look empirically at the economy possibly playing a role, bumps around certain releases, connections to how well advertising may be for that month, etc. Looking at the shallow surface makes your "investigative journalism" just as useless as the websites your slandering.

It's still my 2010 GOTY but you shouldn't worry too much about the credit it gets. Reputation-wise, the game gets/will get props from many ppl except from much of the n4g community. Kind of funny considering their comments will also say "cough, bring over to PS3/ PC now" ;). It certainly deserves more sales though
I posted a review of it a month ago. I'm looking forward to The Writer as well. Thankfully, the DLC has a main storyline undertone to it even though it's a "Special Feature".

You have to understand which new features leap-frogged from Halo 2 to Halo 3 though. What was a well-made online MP from 2 turned into one of the most robust online MP's on any console for that time in Halo 3(theater modes, forge, custom gametypes, etc.).
There is that point but whenever I'd give something a 10/10 I point out the most glaring flaw I saw and show how insignifcant it is to the game as a whole. Not trying to judge OXM too harshly but that's just my two cents.
