I have all 3 versions and they rank like this when it comes to smooth experience
PS3 = best experience right now, no lag, consistent gameplay and little downtime
PC = great graphics just a notch above the PS3 version in refresh rate and resolution, BUT HORRIBLE menu system, ATROCIOUS gamepad implementation, and lack of a good HUD while in game really hurt this version.

because developers don't look at the current state of the market, they PROJECT MARKET conditions at the time of their next release. That said I can safely guarantee MPs for many of these developers bring a much smaller focus on the 360.

that's the whole point fanboy, the processing throughput of the cell can't be spec'd easily, all they can do is provide theoretical calcualtions of what can be achieved with all processors running at full load. Does that translate to game quality? NO NO NO, it's up to the developers to make games that utilize that much throughput, that's why all the noobs like Valve and a few others cried so much over the PS3.

actually CAN be eliminated with thorough and careful CODE DESIGN, I find the best approach is to adapt parts of the code to real world concepts (i.e. machines and what they would need to accomplish a given task, it's basically engineering)
