ps3 fans trolling... check!

Just another day on n4g.

The 360 controller was lauded as being much better than other controllers, with the exception of the DPAD.
MS, after having listened to their customers, have improved the DPAD design.
This is cool, right?
What the hell is wrong with people who are trolling this?

For every hardcore gamer that sits at home on the couch and is grossly overweight, society bears a HUGE social cost, as that individual's weight and lack of fitness will result in higher costs to state funded medical programs.

Of course the real tragedy is that such overweight hardcore gamers likely suffer from low self-esteem and social phobias as a result of being picked on for their weight.

As it stands, in the US alone, the cost to taxpayers...

agreed.
The only reason Linux was removed was for fear of piracy.

I think that now, with the availability of JB, Linux will fall out of favour with pirates. So why not make it available again for the people that genuinely want to use it?

After all, SOny DID promote this feature for those ps3 owners that were affected.

I find it a sad state of affairs when such a case is dismissed.
Lesson learned: don't believe Sony adverti...

Gotta agree there fred-g-sanford.

Isn't it weird that when something like this happens to MS, people on n4g find the negative and present it as the truth. Yet when Sony is the one metaphorically pulling the corporate strings in the background, we laud their integrity?
Oh please, gimme a break.

Honestly, why is Sony dictating to gamers what they should or should not be able to do to the property they paid for. Some gamers paid over $600 for their p...

See, that was pretty easy, huh?

@ Trroy.
Good post

And a good article.
We need more of both on n4g, that's for sure

after all, the JB method has now been exposed.

Just like the four minute mile, hackers will now be lining up with their own versions of the JB, in various guises and implementations.

I already pre-empted this story here.

What's funny is that the same people that denounced the original JB as fake, ...

Exactly.

That was also one of the benefits of the Jailbreak.
The JB would allow a user to install games that were paid for onto the hard disc, saving wear and tear on the bluray drice and disc itself.

As soon as I pointed that out though, a heap of fanboys disagreed and debubbled me.

What's with that?
Why are fanboys so fragile?

Why is it ok to have a 10gb GT5 install, yet a legitimate JB install is not o...

This means the Jailbreak software will soon be available via the internet, for free.
Hackers now have free access to the data stream that makes it all possible.

Is that a good thing?

How will Sony patch this when Hackers now have access to any and all patches and the logic behind those patches?

Our Sony, which art in Japan,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done,
on N4g, as it is on ps3 blogs.
Give us this day our daily hacker lawsuits.
And forgive us our trollings,
as we forgive those that troll against us.
And lead us not into 360 temptation;
but deliver us from evil MS.
For thine is the third place,
the cell power, and the fanboy glory,
for ever and ever.
Amen...

I prefer the matte version too.

would that be routine JB maintenance?

5623d ago 2 agree6 disagreeView comment

yes, very nice.

Although, still seems glitchy at 1:04 and 1:09 and some other spots.
Hopefully they'll fix that before release.

Fixed.

No way.

Commodore64 was, is and will always remain... a legend amongst real gamers.
Millions of gamers got their gamer fix on the c64, a decade prior to the ps1.

Any gamer worth his salt will know that the c64 takes its place in gaming history among the atari 2600 http://www.soe.ucsc.edu/cla... and colecovison 5623d ago 12 agree32 disagreeView comment

unfortunately for Sony, all that this means is that the JB will go underground.

We all know it.

In the meantime, hackers will be hard at work coding their own version of the JB code, such that it cannot be classed as Sony IP.

I am guessing it's like the four minute mile - once it was achieved by Roger Bannister, other athletes soon followed. The psychological barrier had been broken. 5623d ago 8 agree25 disagreeView comment
