Instead, buy value.
For example, if you bought two HD 4770 in crossfire, you'd get VERY close to the bleeding edge at $200, which is waaaay below what you'd pay for the top shelf product.

But you have forgotten to mention that, since 2007, ps3 sales have stalled. It is now consistently selling 25% less year-on-year, on monthly sales.
I would disagree that the ps3 has vastly superior games. With the exception of kz2, there is nothing that hasn't been matched or bettered on the 360.
PS3 multiplats have also improved, but they are still short of the 360 version, if examined closely and honestly.
