a HDD isn't needed to play the games.
BUT
A HDD is needed for downloadable content and to play backwards compatible xbox1 games and to properly take advantage of XBL.
So yeah, I agree, the HDD is way overpriced.
MS would do well to lower the price much more, considering it is a such a useful add-on.

Cayal, weren't they the same developers that then produced PS3 ghostbusters with
- reduced 75% textures
- reduced 540p resolution
- vaseline blur at no extra charge.
