Alternating is always good, that way COD or Battlefield don't get old.
BTW... I never play nor care about the single player of COD/BF. I wish they would sell only the COD/BF4 online aspect of the game at a cheaper price.
My online FPS games are Battlefield and COD (and i expect Titanfall in the near future)... so i really don't give a f**k what people think about my choices.

I suspect the Xbox One's preorders in Europe are not very good because Microsoft has quite a few offerings with the X1 in Europe.
Microsoft normally does not offer anything for free.
Kinect is going to cost Microsoft the next console generation, not because of the 720p/1080p crap we've seen in the last couple of days, but simply because of the excessively high price (500€).
Microsoft has two options if they want to stay competitive:
- release a much cheaper Kinectless X1 (cheaper then the PS4 because it's a less powerful console)
- or take a big hit and try to reach the PS4 price point with the Xbox One (with Kinect).
Kinectless Xbox One at 350€.

One advice... don't ever buy a top graphics card... it's a wast of money. 500-600€ down the drain...
Simply get a mid range graphics card, and it can play any PC game at 1080P with great graphics and frame-rate for the next 3+ years.
Ex. If you purchase now the Nvidia GTX 760 Ti (or the ATI counterpart) for 200-250€, it can play any PC game at 1080P with great graphics and frame-rate for the next 3+ years... or wait a couple of months for Nvidia to release th...

I'm curious about the steam box. It's basically a home console. Can the steam box influence console gamers to purchase it with it's vast catalog of games and specials sales offers?

There are just too many mistakes with the Xbox One and the bad press never stops. A new console with games at 720p/30fps is inadmissible in 2013.
I don't know if Microsoft can save the Xbox One in the future, but at this moment it's one big f**kup. In all honesty i think the best thing Microsoft could do is delay the X1 for another year, and improve the hardware and s...
