It's going to be like Assassin's Creed where you travel to the past via memories, at least that's what I understood.
I love that too! Being able to take your PS4 games without having to actually take it, and only taking with you the small device and connecting it via remote play.
So now you can play PS4 games on PS Vita, and PS Vita games on TV. Great!
It is to be expected though, since handhelds have been dominating Japan for quite some time now. Also, Microsoft knows that Japan is the least market they cater to, and Sony knows they have the upper hand, so they are not in a hurry.
The important regions are US and Europe, since that is the most part of the market.
Xbox One won't be out by then either. it even might launch later.
Me too. Hope they release the tech specs soon to know for sure.
I don't trust Japanese developers anymore about console exclusivity. They just mindlessly lie to fans, and don't care. Square Enix with Final Fantasy XV is the most cynical case of this, and I am pretty sure that Bayonetta 2 will come out to PS4 and Xbox One sooner than later.
I hope Sony can manage a successful launch in all 32 countries. One thing is to say it will launch, another entirely is there is going to be availability after the first shipment. However, I am impressed that the PS4 is even smaller in size that the PS3 Slim (2009), and I don't think they are making hard-to-get-components this time, like it was when the PS3 came out with the Cell chip and Blue Ray Drive. That makes me believe that they have locked down the production process and they are ...
Like i said in an earlier comment. Sony is going first in US and Canada, but they are going second in other territories. I guess the question is: Which is more important?
I followed Smosh's crowd-funding for their Food Battle Game. They wanted $250,000. When they were 5 days left they still were like $100,000 and by the end of it they reached it. What I mean is that people will keep funding until the end.
I didn't like the reason they gave for a PS4/Xbox One version. The systems are much easier to develop for according to every developer, and it should be cheaper. By 2015 only sport games will be releasing on PS3 and 360. It really would...
It's going to be interesting to see which console does better this year. PS4 is releasing 1 week earlier in US and Canada, but Xbox is releasing 1 week earlier in all other (11) territories. Then the PS4 releases 1 weak later in territories that Xbox is not releasing.
So PS4 has the head start in US and Canada, then Xbox has the advantage in territories such as Mexico, UK, etc and then PS4 again in the rest of territories Xbox is not going to be out.
The...
I don't know if it's being rushed to market, but according to MS, they have been making the console since 2010, while Sony started in 2008. 2 years and a little more seems like a very short time to develop a console.
It's just too weird that they haven't announced a date. I mean, I don't think they want to do it Apple style and just say: It's out, go to the store right now, because with Apple works, since they announce stuff the same day. The Xbox was announced in May.
For me, they are struggling in any way, shape or form. They have it really tough
Crimson, since you donated, you should send them an email or a message about that. I think that it is possible to make it look like the concept art (especially the first picture) and it would be awesome.
I read it as: might as well buy a PS4 for $50 more.
Megaman X4 was the best, and IMO, it went downhill after X5. Anway, Mega Man is going to always be a special series for me.
The X series, is the perfect example on how to take a great franchise and improve it beyond everything.
You cannot charge the controllers while the PS3 is off. This is a new feature for the PS4 and way overdue.
For the average gamer-the ones who say 3DEES and 2DEES and confuse Wii U and Wii- will be even more confusing that the games will still be branded 3DS. So I guess that they won't know exactly what to do.
This is the weirdest announcement from Nintendo ever! I don't even know if this is a good idea, but it seems so pointless, because, you know you can turn off the 3D already right?
Media Molecule was indie too, and they have become one of the most important studios Sony has. Also, while I don't like the focus on small indie games, if there is an opportunity that Sony acquires one or more of them to transform them in a beast developer like they have with Mm, then it's my pleasure to have indie games. I know for a fact that there are going to be great indie games. The thing is that I would want a game that utilizes every single byte in graphics, AI, gameplay, etc....
EA can make great IPs, but the problem with them is that they are more hungry about the money than the quality. They nailed it with Dead Space and Mirror's Edge, and have other successful franchises. However, they decided to ruin them. They ruined Dead Space making it yet another COD wannabe, and putting micro transactions. I don't know what to expect about Mirror's Edge anymore.
