JRPGS are on the impression that they are going to die out because developers, especially Square Enix, have been releasing their games on the Xbox 360. Being JRPGs, I think their principal market is Japan, or so I would suppose, and the Xbox 360 is selling very poorly over there, therefore, the games have not had great sales.
Also, Square Enix has been living on their laurels of their old franchises and making remakes, they have been seeking the quick money, instead of improving ...
sadly, fanboys and now developers expect that.
Good Witches vs Bad Witches BANG BANG BANG KILL KILL KILL... YAWN YAWN YAWN
end game
"Making towns would take too much time"
Didn't they take 5 years to release this game? how much time do they need?
Next time they will announce a game for the ps3 and release it for the ps5? or what? and maybe will the game have towns then?
Jeff Rubeinstein in the PS Blog said that in febraury will be likely that Square Enix will be posting in the blog, but he never said it will be FFv13 related, or an announcement for that matter.
He was just replying to a question regarding news on FFv13 and Square Enix posting on the blog.
The first news on FFv13 will come more likely at E3
I see it wrong in the way that they do not take advantage of ANY hardware. It is great to have multi platform games, but I think that it is also healthy to have third party exclusives.
The problem comes when the tactics to get them exclusive are twisted. This gen MS has been playing dirty business (they have the right to do so, but it does not make it right) and third party developers are either too greedy (receiving money to make games multiplatform) or too lazy (to take advanta...
then why the hell announce them as exclusives to one console. I know FF XIV was never exclusive to the PS3, but why announce it as "console exclusive" at E3.
The same goes for Queantum Theory, Bioshock, Unreal Tournament, etc.. you get my point.
Actually, I think that timed exclusivity is worst than full exclusivity, even more so with DLC. I mean, if a game was exclusive to ONE console ALWAYS, then it would allow people wo but the console for the game, but ...
who does not like the boxart?
Why would guerilla (or Sony) want to release Killzone 3 this year? The last one came out just last year, is not like it is L4D. Come on, is common sense. Every Sony franchise has had at least two year interval, why would they pull a "valve" and release it less than 12 months later.
The same goes for Infamous 2, we all know it's coming, but definitely not this year.
yeah, i wonder how would that work ¬_¬
I'm not sure if Microsoft's strategy is a good one. They have a year with almost no games (2009) and the following year they announce a bunch of them? Does that mean that 2011 will be the same as 2009?
it will be... wait for it... wait for it... L
LEGEN-DARY!
who has more games rated 8.5+ PS3 or 360?, and who has more exclusives (by that I mean ONLY on 360 or PS3, because by xbox fanboys' logic Mass Effect 2 is exclusive for the 360, but Final Fantasy 14 is not exclusive to the PS3, what gives?)
Anyways, you get ONE game 9+ and are treating your xbox360 like it already won 2010.. LAME!
no exclusives any more...
yeah right!
I hope Monster Hunter 4 comes to the PS3
Don't be so sure. There are a lot of AAA games this year and the competition for GOTY is going to be tough.
If I got to choose GOTY basing on the games coming until March, I would choose God of War 3. Who knows what's coming the rest of the year. This will be an awesome year for gamers
What happened to the "We will only make multiplatform games the rest of this generation" Capcom?
Square Enix should focus more on Kingdom Hearts. It is an excellent franchise, and is selling very well. I think that Final Fantasy and KH are the strongest franchises SE has. Hopefully we get to see Kingdom Hearts 3 soon(er)!
the PS3 is getting back to the 30K again...
Why is the Wii still selling so much, is people buying 3 Wii's to go along their 7 DS's??!
Ridiculous!
but what about if they actually include it in the game if they already have it done and ready?... The problem with DLC is that is not EXTRA game content, it is content taken OUT from the actual game to sell it later for a few bucks.
Wipeout HD Fury, for me, is what DLC should be. Also, Burnoout Paradise, those are the best examples of great DLC not trying to milk every cent.
you should buy darksiders... it is really fun...
I bought it yesterday because I didn't like Bayonetta, and I don't have games to play until I buy Heavy Rain.. and i was very doubtful about Darksiders, but the game is really fun and is the same concept as Zelda, with GOW style and little bit of Prince of Persia platforming...
You won't regret it... you'll have a great time.
