I want to agree with you, but at the same time Microsoft needs to step it up due to their PR flop.
This is a true next gen system when comparing the power difference from Xbox One to this, and the Xbox to the Xbox 360.
It might not run every game at 60 frames at 4K, but last time I checked not that many PC rigs can do that as well unless they are over 2k.
People expect pure hardware to be the factor with this, but what they did to the architecture is simply amazing. Teraflops are not really a true measure of power for system, whereas CPI is.
I would say since a lot of this was due to customizations $399 would be the smart move. If Microsoft loses some money at first, and then can deliver some damn games then it would be a smart move for the brand.
Microsoft usually takes a hit when releasing their systems. I'm assuming they want to make a statement, and since a lot of the work was done by customization it should be $399. Explain to me how a 2 TF improvement is "slight".
I don't think you understand what they are actually saying. This will have a decent margin in power when compared to the Scorpio if their customizations to the architecture hold true.
Here comes the people who do not understand all of this, and have never taken a Computer Organization class yet speculate.
Waiting for E3 to show the price tag might mean it will be lower than what we are expecting. If they came out, and said $350 it would be huge.
128GB SD card, and you won't have to worry for a few years. Why would this ruin any experience right now? What games are you even buying to fill the system data?
Every console has a series of good games then dry spells. I don't see that many exclusives in general necessarily tipping the scales in that regard anyways. It's not like Sony has every other month lined up with stellar titles. So many fanboys on here hating on a system that has no regard to them except competition.
I am pretty sure that Zelda is better than any game that Xbox One, or PS4 launched with. If you don't remember both the PS4, and X1 launches were followed by better 3rd party titles, and lackluster exclusives. The same follows with the PS3, and Xbox 360 launch. If they release a console Pokemon game, and follow through with the Mario game it will be actually quite a good year for the release in terms of exclusives. However, they do need 3rd party support in some fashion that are not FPS. ...
Lol, this graph is based on the gaming community population of today which is probably 1000% greater than it was in the 1990s. PS4 is selling a lot if units, but we should have a ratio based on the population of "gamers" to the units sold. This would also include mobile devices.
Can we stop acting like developers haven't been doing this on PC?
This game does not have that many bugs than any other 9 rated game. I only ran into one bug on Campaign, all you have to do is reload your checkpoint. And I have only had a few issues with the servers, but the game just came out. This is just click bait because the issues aren't "serious", they are being worked on, and barely happen.
The credit system is meh, but they already have shown commitment to update it based on feedback.
It was a smart move from them, and I enjoy what the game has to offer. It is dynamic enough so I can play the material repetitively, and still have fun. Looking forward to what the next game has to offer!
Bleh only if articles could recognize their bias, and tried to argue the other side regardless who you are for.
There was the focus which was completely uncomfortable with my nose, and the straps weren't great It got me more nauseated than any other VR, but that could of just been the game.
They are stating facts without the customization of the architecture which is arguably more important than the hardware increase.
